C63 vs Z4 M-coupe
My Cousin and I got a bee in our bonnets arguing whose car is faster whose car looks better so we settled the debate last night once and for all. We did four runs, stop light till stop light.(Dont worry it was 3 am and nobody in sight). The c63 jumped the z4m on all occasions. I thought we would get in front of me on his 1st & 2nd gear but not the case. 1st was neck and neck 2nd I just put my nose in front after that is was like "unleash the fury" I pulled at least 4 car lenghts on him. This car has got ***** made of steel . My cousin kept on saying my car has been tuned and it hasnt its bone stock. He feels sick it makes me proud to be part of the ///AMG family.

2009 C63 with Eurocharged tune and charcoal delete
A bee in your bonnets? Are you guys 80 years old or what? I didn't know the Amish were allowed to drive cars, let alone AMGs. Nice upgrade over the horsedrawn buggy though, right. Congrats. Now get back to work on that fireplace.

C63 AMG
I had a MZ4 and compared to C63 the power is nite and day. MZ4 is only slightly faster than a 335. I never had a chance to race a MZ4 yet but during my race against my friend's stock 335 I was pulling on him while changing gear at 4.5 rpm..... and he was flooring it lol.
However the cornering ability of the two cars is also nite and day, opposite result from the straightline speed lol.

C63 AMG / B8 A4
to me the C63 is a complete package. In all honesty, how many people really track their cars? I know a handful of people do, but the majority uses it for a daily driver or weekend car. During this time of driving, you are not racing around corners or twisties. You drive more straight line than anything. The C63 is more than capable around the track too. AMG really nailed it with this little car.

The M3 with better tires in the rear (and much wider at 305) managed to beat the C63 by 0.9 seconds on a 3min+ lap.
0.9 seconds! I Live in Canada and the cost of the M3 here is 72k while the C63 is 63K. Why would I choose an M3? Just changing to a better tire setup will make the C63 beat the M3 on a track for almost 10 grand less, plus it's faster in straight lines! Saying a C63 just can't handle the M3 on the track is BS.

However i am not too found of the C.D testing result. Its accuracy is highly questionable.
911 turbo slower than m3 ..... we all know thats just not true.
To be honest from the result i have seen on other courses either nurburgring,tg times, etc... overall lap time between C63 and MZ4 is very similiar. Like i said C63 has a load of advantage on the straight while MZ4 has a big advantage in the corner.
All i can tell you is if you ve driven both you will notice immediately the amount of handling difference between the two.

BMW fan boys always say the M3 will kill a C63 on the track and that the C63 is only good in a straight line.

Allow me to add some fuel to the fire. With the set up below, I have been faster then a few GT3s around Beaver Run race track. Not a high horsepower track either.

As my last car before the C63 was an M coupe I call BS. The M Coupe is a fantastic curve carver, it's absolute crap in a straight line. There just isn't anything in the engine room. Don't get me wrong, it was the best handling car ever and I loved every second of ownership, but it's not at all in the 63's class. Now if that car had a twin screw setup on top of the M motor - maybe, but filters and baubles - no way.
As for better looking? meh - that's like asking who's hotter when you're looking through the Victoria Secret catalog - the simple answer BOTH.
Best thing about the M coupe? No one else has one in your geographic region. I had mine on a 30 month lease and in that time saw only one other one - we were traveling head on in a 2 lane undivided road, both slowed down, giggled like school girls and waved. Obviously he never saw one either!

M3s come with 265s not 305s. Big difference. It's AMGs fault they under tire their cars. Changing tires, changing suspension...hell why not just use of Veyron to compare it to as it has four wheels right? And chucking around the "fanboy" term reveals you to be one yourself. The M3 and c63 both have their advantages and disadvantages, just get over it and enjoy your car.

If you can't read here is what I wrote:
"fan boys always say the M3 will kill a C63 on the track"
Well here are some numbers that prove that it's not killing it at all. M3 has a slight advantage on the track at best for almost 10K more here and slower speeds on pretty much any daily driver circumstances.

chief63: though he is comparing to an MZ4 - a VERY different car. Remember the motor is from the old E46 era engine, and the car weighs nearly nada. From experience, not numbers, the MZ4 will kill a C63 on a track if both are in stock form. Maybe, maybe, if the driver of the 63 has massive experience he'll be able to rein in the torque, but all the slip and slide will cost dearly.
