Cool.

Any chance of making similar pins but with an AMG logo on it?

similar pins

nope. brabus makes them, not sure if AMG will get into that or not. Custom pins might be possible, but will be more than the brabus units, which are $125 plus tax and shipping..

Not a problem with price for me, within reason

Anything beats the plastic pins that Mercedes installs
from the factory.

I like the Brabus pins but having an AMG vehicle, I prefer
to have AMG pins.

Thanks for answering my questions.

pins

The are in stock, install coming soon. $125 each plus tax and shipping. The rear door pins, on the install, you need to cut the existing lock pin (black mercedes unit) and shape it an press the pin over the modified piece, and install the door panel, height adjustment has to be tweaked. The front screw on..

Just to let everybody know that there are already out amg door pins. Just check AMG website. You will find them there on the accessories section.

I just talked to the most unhelpful MB parts person ever - does anyone know if the PN on the AMG website is for a pair of pins or only one pin?

It's retarded how the rear pins require cutting and shaving to install, plus you'd have to open the door panel to be able to safely apply downward force pressure without damaging the locking mechanism. Since you're already destroying the original pin to fit the caps over it, should have designed a pin that can be pressure held to the inner pin (the one you see inside after you pull off the original pin). Inner pin already sits perfectly flush when locked. For such a simple mod, definitely not for the feint of heart.

Was he/she able to pull up the PN? You could probably figure it out based on the price quoted.

The AMG ones look nice. I'm looking forward to the video, especially for the rears, just to see how much work is actually involved.

I hope my install sheds some light for people.

There isn't much an aftermarket company can do with the factory design for a simple install.

I was just told that the $93 was for a single door pin. Yea. But I will confirm that once it shows up.

So even the official AMG door pins aren't "plug and play"?

*faints*

Is it possible to just order the front door pins? Just going to leave the rear ones intact. $93 for a single pin seems rather expensive?

Sorry for not being completely clear:

The AMG-made door pins (as seen here) are just about $93 per pin (not per set). The above prices are for other styles of pins that go for different prices. I'm also not sure about how the AMG pins will install - I'll probably let a dealer do the rear ones, so if they break the sleeve, they'll have to pay for it.
