Picked up a red 507 and I'm a noob when it comes to any kind of mods but I recently fell in love with a lowered BS with HRE P44SC wheels. I've never done any mods to any of my cars so I was wondering is it worth spending that kind of money on wheels if you're going to keep the standard offset and not lower the car etc.?
Our cars have 19x8 +45 & 19x9 +54 with 235/35 & 255/30.
My HRE P40SC are 19x9 +40 & 19x10 +50 with 245/35 & 275/30 no problem even lowrred on H&R springs.
If u don't want the flush look cuz u don't plan on lowering.. HRE will recommend u 19x8.5 +41 & 19x9.5 +50 with 235/35 & 265/30.
And lookwise, having wider tires & thicker sidewalls will look better especially if u plan to stay at stock height.

one of my freinds installed black series wheels on his 2010 c63 sedan and the rear rubs on bumps (BS wheels offsets are ET25 front (19 x 9) and ET47 (19 x 9.5) rear)
he's using 265/30 on the rears.
any advice to avoid the rubbing?
19x9.5 +47 w/265 is definitely close.. +50 would be ideal. Is he lowered? He must be only rubbing on bumps & dip at high speed, most likely on the passenger rear more than driver rear.
1)If on Coilovers, he should raise a bit.
2)Or else he can do 255/30/19 to avoid touching fenders.
3)Shave 3mm off the back plate of the wheel to make them +50. I had 19x9.5 +50 with 265/30/19 & I had no rubbing at all. 275 rubbed a little on passenger rear. Just sharing my experience though.

I'm surprised that he have no issue in the front too. He's not lowered.
As you said, it rubbed in bumps and it's worst when two people setting in the back seat.
We'll go first with the 255 wheel.
can you post a picture where to trim the wheel, just in case we need to go for option 2, please?
Thanx
