One year in, first oil change, and a few observations

My first year in my '09 C63 is over and I just took it in for the $250 oil change/look over, everything was fine. Only 2750 miles on the car, as I had been using it only on pristine days to commute to work and it has seen rain only once. A/C was leaking but fixed for free under warranty in first 1000 miles, oil light came on at 2000 miles, check tire pressure at 2300, and after todays 2hr pitstop at the dealer everything is back to normal, though they couldn't change the differential fluid because they did not have the C63's proprietary plug to reseal the differential fluid reservoir and will reschedule that $150 fluid flush for another day when they get the plug in stock. Otherwise stellar performance with no problems. Love the car, babying it too much, but I am determined to drive it a lot more this year. My favorite thing to do - while going 65/70mph on empty highway I like to floor it for no more than 10 seconds...crazy where it tops out in 10 seconds...hahaha - that 10 seconds is enough adrenaline for the day!

+1...about the same, have about 2200 miles to date. I can't floor it for more than about a few seconds either because of cops lurking in all the shadows, but its enough to make me feel all gooogly inside...

Wow.

Cars like to be driven.

It's like not letting your dog out in the yard.

p.s., ream on it more often. Or you'll have carbon build up all over.

what car are you driving as a daily driver???

IMO if you bought it, use it (like it was meant to be used, if possible).

Driving mine trough the winter.

Take it out more often, it needs a good flogging every now and then. My work day ends with me driving through 10 minutes of traffic and when the lane opens up, I stomp on it a few times to put a smile on my face (never fails)

DRIVE it like you stole it!

Whenever mine sits for more than a day (weekends some times or when I ride my bike) it spits and coughs at me just to remind me she wants to have the throat cleared.

I'm only more than happy to oblige.

It's a waste to have the C63 sits in the garage.

im at 5700 miles and 9 months - take the ferry to work though thats y

so if u do not have perf pack, there is no need for the additional differential fluid flush? assuming thats only for LSD?

It wants to be driven more, needs to be driven more, believe me. I know all about "training" your car by driving it using different speeds and shifts that will break it in nicely. I live 6 minutes to work. All I can do is turn it on, let it warm up, then about 6 minutes later turn it off and let it sit in the lot in front of my work. I truly wish, (this is the ONLY time ever) that I lived a nice 45 mins to work. This is probably gonna come around now and jinx the hell out of me....

Enjoy the car! Less than 3,000 miles in a year eh? When I got my AMG, I put 4,000 in the first month, I could not stop driving it!
