C63 Coupe Rumors, thinking about swtiching...
Hello!
The lease on my car runs out in about 11 months and I was very interested in the rumored C63 ///AMG coupe. I was thinking about getting an ///M3 but BMW is shooting themselves in the foot with their recent updates to their line-up. The only thing holding me back from getting a C63 is the cheap feeling interior. My 328xi feels worlds better. I have a lot of hope that MB has fixed it on the upcoming rumored coupe if it really is going to happen.
Any help on if this rumor is true or not would be greatly appreciated!

I have not heard anything about this. I do not have any contact within MB but religously follow car news and read magazines. Anyone else care to comment on this matter.
Since they came up with the E class coupe, I do not see MB going the route of making a C63 coupe as well.

I think I remember seeing your name on e90 post....
Yes the E90/92 has a better dash but the seats in the C63 are hands down better than the sport seats in the e90/92 (including the M3). My biggest issue (besides the dash) are the interior color choices. Would it have killed MBUSA to offer a brown/saddle interior leather package?

Thats funny to hear you say that becauce I looked extensively at the M3, ISF, and RS4 before I purchased my C63 and I thought the one biggest draw back to the M3 was actually the interior. I felt the C63 had the 2nd best interior after the ISF.

They are releasing a C convertible so it may not a be a huge stretch to see a coupe in the near future. I haven't seen anything confirmed as of yet.

C63 AMG
I was also choosing between the M3 and the C63. The tach and guages of the M3 is so old-school that it turned me off. The Red Fox color was a nice touch, though...I wished MB would have something like that.

+1. I like the C63 interior better, in fact IMO BMW's interiors are (overall) inferior to Both Audi's and M-B's.

What do you guys think? 5.5L turbo in a C63 ///AMG coupe. I was considering and ///M3 because I wanted a coupe, but this makes it a whole new ball game.

2009 C63 with Eurocharged tune and charcoal delete
Certainly a matter of personal taste but in my opinion the sedan variants of all the models in this class (C63, M3, S4, CTS-V) actually look better than their coupe cousins. Remember, all any modern car company does is take the sedan chassis and slap a two-door body on it. The wheelbases are almost identical for both versions. I think the coupe versions actually look too long and flabby for their own good (especially the current M3), and the extra-long doors make getting in/out in tight spaces more difficult. The old days of using a shorter wheelbase chassis for the coupes is long gone due to platform cost restrictions. I never thought I'd say it but nowdays I think the sedans actually look better than the coupes. The just look "right", probably because they were all design as sedans first (each company's bread and butter car).

5.5L Bi-turbo would be C55
I prefer 4 door cars. It's more convienent and the chasis is stiffer. Granted I would say the M3 looks better in 2 door, but when I was shopping I would've gotten the 4 door.

i just drove one of the e550 coupes and was very pleasantly surprised. it handled very well and the interior was definetly up to par compared to my c63. speed wise i would compare it to my previous e92 m3, but with torque! great car and i might even pick one up to hold me over untill an e63 coupe or possible the cts v coupe

If history tells us anything, (clk55) then yes this will be out one day. But I would really doubt you'll see a C63C (so to speak) in 2010. I'd guess it'd be a 2011 and probably with the new (rumored) smaller motor with turbos/supers.
