Now that I have the front AMG door lock pins, I love them. Super classy, and now I want the rears. Does anyone really know what you have to do to put the rears in? does anyone have pictures of putting them in? What da dilio?

As far as I know, literally nobody can find the rears - I've asked 3 dealers in different states (DC / MD, and CO), and all of them say no dice (these guys found me lighted AMG door sills - 1 of 2 sets left in the world, according to them). They look sick installed - just be sure to wrap the plastic door pins with something as you torque it out, so they aren't completely destroyed (took me one removal to figure this out). But they do look absolutely sick installed!

Edit: I got 4 of mine for $93 ea. and the other two for $49 ea. (I installed four on my GL550)

They run $49 each, pretty stiff, at for getmercedesparts.com - a really great site. it's actually just the parts department for MB annapolis. But whatever, i ordered them on nFriday and they got here on Monday - regular shipping.

So come on, who's got the *****, er, dilio on putting the rear door lock pins in? i think it might be worth it.

getmercedesparts.com has the rears in stock. but if it is that bad to put them in, i don't know if i want to get them.

i've searched the site with "rear door pins" and saw all the same threads that i had already seen. guess i'm on my own. i'll keep you all posted.

I dont know about amg rear door pins but I know for the 204 replacing them is not as easy as the other cars. I recently replaced my US version door pins to RTW ones on my ML and C for the ML and the fronts of the C is as simple as turning them like a screw. But for the rears you need to replace the pins and the cables that attach them. Its not at all that easy you need to remove sidings and some riveted brackets and stuff.

how did i sended? English not the first language i guess, but hey, i barely speak spanish, so i understand. as part of the euro delivery, you take it to a port and MB sends it back for you. see my "European delivery, pics and every thing youwant to know" thread.
