jack pad

Thumbs up to Fred Gwynn at reverselogic for making an outstanding jack pad for MB cars! I recently installed a new set up rear wheels/tires to my c63 and I used one of their pads to lift the car .The pads snap into the pad under the car and are used as to not damage the side skirts when you lift the car.Anyway I forgot to remove it and have been driving around for 2 weeks with it in place under the car! The amazing thing is it did not fall off! This is an exact fit product and highly recommended I have 4 to take to shops if I ever have to raise the car.

I have them as well, genius product, life is alot easier without me going into anxiety mode of where to place the jack without me ripping the side skirts off.

I carry at least one in the trunk at all times. Anytime I'm headed in to service or the tire shop I bring all four. And a warning to those of you with the P30 pkg and its lower-still suspension...my dealer broke both side skirts on their lift due to insufficient clearance...they were pretty surprised and I was a little upset to see it.

I would sincerely appreciate some pics, and explanation as to what it is, as I am really interested if it protects the side skirts...

Thanks a lot.

A simply $3 hockey puck will work just fine.

You'd worry about slide with just a hockey puck as well as cracking from the weight on cheaper pucks. Honestly wood blocks would be better than a puck, but this fits directly into the jack receptacle and actually click locks in.

So would a Kia instead of a C63.

So I am not understanding. You guys saying I would need to buy 4 of these, then carry them around, giving them to mechanics everytime they want to lift up the C63?

How much do they run?

If your shop has the right lift and they are very careful to place the jack arm exactly right then no need to buy these. But for a fool proof way to lift your car these are the ticket. The next time you look under your car you will see that the side skirts are below the jack pads so the plate at the end of a lift will rub / mar your painted skirt. The jack pad allows the jack arm to rest well below the side skirts so it well never touch them. So if you are picky about your paintwork these just give you peace of mind .

Great product! I bought the jack pad and the jack stand adapters from Fred. My dealer has jacks that won't damage the side skirts, but I use this every time I lift the car at home. Fred is a great guy and makes quality products. (Well worth the small price he charges.)

Yes, four is what you should get IMO, you will need them all on a lift.
