Love the rotors on my car. Did you guys try carbotech pads yet? Looking into the XP8 and XP10 compounds.

The stock/clk63 pads are ok but they cooked on my last lapping day...

Are you getting the brake pad message on the display as well or is it just the noise and fade that told you the pads were gone. How does the wear on the rear pads compare?

No message. Just some fade later in the afternoon sessions. Not to serious. Did a visual the day after and expected to see some Glazing but the Front Pads were cracked all the way through in 4 or 5 spots on each pad. Rears were only a little Glazed with no cracks.

Had a spare set of OEM front pads so I replaced them and back to the track a few weeks ago with no issues. Just some minor glazing. Hope they last the 2 or 3 sessions I have left this season....

Think I will try Porterfield R4S Pads all around when I put on fresh rotors next spring (Evosport's again of course....)

Rotors are $1999

I've heard that the pulley and rotors are on indefinite delays....hopefully they get it fixed soon.

I have run the Carbotech pads XP10/8 on an RS4 and they were amazing. Im thinking of getting a set for the C. He sells some purple goo that keeps the squealing to a minimum. Be sure to coat the leading and trailing edge of the pad plates. They rub the caliper there and create quite a bit of noise from that location.

I knew about the pulley but wasn't sure about the rotors.

I'm sure they will let us know when they straighten everything out.
