New to this forum. Test drove a C63 AMG the other day and was amazed at the car, power, the way it hands ets. I like the S5 I am in now but the power and agility of the C 63 was awesome. I have always had coupes, never ever had a sedan but surprised at the look. Still trying to figure out if i want to fo grom a coupe to a sedan but the C 63 was convincing. Any thoughts, worries etc from those who have has theirs for a while. Thanks.

Do it, you're missing out. Everytime I stomp on my C63, i giggle like a girl who just got a boob job.

The sound, power and handling are intoxicating.

I checked out the S5 and wasn't impressed. The cost of a decent equiped S5 is almost as much as a C63, and the power just isn't there. I have an A4 with the Sports and Prestige Package and it's a nice car, but the steering is identical to the S5 and it there isn't any feed back. The interior of my car and an S series is identical minus a few S-line badges. I couldn't justify spending well over $60k for one, thats for sure. I love my Audi, but I love my Mercedes more. The S5 looks nice and has decent power, but it's WAY over priced for what it is. If your heart is set on a coupe you should check out the M3, or wait another year for the RS5 (which will probably cost way more then the regular S).

For that price I would get a GTR and still have $ left over.

Sounds like you like the C 63 better than the S5. Any regrets going from coupe to sedan?

Come on hiro bro.

When the RS5 sells for similar money to the c63 then and only then it will be a rival.

If a coupe can be counted as a rival to a sedan that is.

IMO S5 is just too big.

And power wise, come on it doesn't even compare.

Nice car for sure the S5...but a slower and more expensive option to my C63, no thanks. Never mind the added practicallity of a C63.

For the newbie, wrecker, Driving my car in winter every day not a bad thing to say.

Had my C63 for 18 months and not one single thing needed repair.

First car I had that is so reliable...and freaking fast, especially aboove 60 mph that's where you separate the "real bad boy cars" from the "wow it looks nice car".

The C63 isn't a nice car. It's a bad car. Yes. I said it's bad, real bad. Bad to the bone. And i like it that way.

6.3 on the fender??? this day and age???

Yes sir. 6.3 liters. And I'm not apologizing for it either.

Get em while you can before they are taken off the market or made illegal.

After 18 months my spouse is finally getting used to the guy in the car next to mine staring at those bad boy brembo brakes (BBBB Syndrome).

BBBB have an hypnotic effect on any car guy 10 to 99 year old.

No matter how hard the guy next to you tries not to stare at them they don't stand a chance.

If you buy one you will find out soon enough.

C63 forever Baby

I gotta buddy here with an S5...SWEET looking car...love the daytime lights and style.

He was surprised when he heard my power numbers and ran with me...he didn't keep up for long, and was a bit surprised...think he thought he would at least hang.

Anyway, different styles/performance for sure...can't go wrong with a back seat, but if you don't have a family, I'd stick with the coupe...just my 2 cents.

I'm actually in the market for an S5 cabriolet as a weekend cruiser but I think if you had to go from the S5 to the C63 AMG you would have no regrets whatsoever. The sound from the 6.2L V8 is just intoxicating and you get supercar performance in a sedan that you can comfortably use as a daily driver. I haven't had any issues at all so far, and don't expect them any time soon as the M156 engine is rock solid. However, my two gripes would be: gas mileage (I'm only getting about 11 MPG combined ) and tires (I have to replace the rears after ~6400 miles).

From the sound of things, going thru tires seems to be a major theme. Is it the car or the way it is driven? Also seems like the mpg varies too. Is 12 mpg a reasonable assumption in town?

Yes for sure C63 is better and C63 have 4 doors! That is amazing.

For price I think for Japan RS5 and C63 will be around the same. C63 cost over $110,000. Very expensive car in Japan. And I heard that RS5 will be around $120,000 in Japan. So around same HP car with V8 it will be C63, RS5 and BMW M3. but RS5 is couple. So maybe direct rival will be M3 Coupe.

Hell yeah! I'd trade an S5 for a C63 anyday! Besides the Audi 5 is big like a sedan anyways, I doubt you will be missing anything about it!

C63 in canada base price is 63500$ can witch includes leather sport amg seats

S5 base price is 65 900$ can. So over here RS5 sould probably be around 80 to 85 000$ can.

But hey, RS5 is still going to be a great car.

I'm a bit surprised that will all that power, the RS6 is still has similar 0-60 and 1/4 mile times than the C63. The V8 R8 is also pretty identical (but the V10 model is sick).

Does this mean that you would favor a RS over the 63?

I am getting about 18 MPG on highway and average about 15.5 MPG mixed. Should get 12 MPG in the city if you can stay out of the gas at every stoplight!

Definitely would take a C63 over an RS4 (my buddy has one) but I would take the RS6 over the C63 price put aside (mostly because of AWD). But since this is the real world I wouldn't pay 40K more for one ;-)
