Brake pad upgrade for track/street use
Hi guys,
I'm currently searching for good front brake pads for track use but that will be streetable (not need an eternity to get warm). I'll combine that with race fluid and SS brake lines.
So far I've search pretty much every company I know of and there is nothing but EBC (red or yellow). Anyone out there has suggestions? I'm used to Hawk and GS-3 but I don't see any applications for our car.
thanks!

I use the EBC red Stuff ceramics all around. No fade under spirited track days and quiet and vrtually dust free for the street. No messy paste needed either.

My main question was to know if there are any other brands that will fit on the C63. So far I have only EBC. Do all guys that track the C63 use EBC or the stock pads?
thanks

I road course and autocross my C63 and I've had good life out of my stock pads so far (13,500 miles so far with a few track days in there), but I've been looking around the same as you. This is a good question. Hopefully others have some idea's.

I might give the stock ones a shot before changing them. That being said it's still interesting to know the alternatives. I hate having only one so far.

I was very happy with Carbotechs (XP10, 9 and 8) on both a C5Z and an S2000. The dust is not corrosive, they're great on the track and not tooooo much squeal on the street. They didn't chew up my rotors rapidly but I wasn't driving a heavy car and I'm not hard on brakes. Don't know how they'd perform on a C63.
I'd see how you like the stock pads before you go to a more aggressive one. IMO!
