Holy Crap...You did this install in your garage on ramps!!!

I'll bet your back hurt the next day, but the smile on your face made it all worthwhile!

I've thought about doing a DIY install of the MHP LTs, but would need to line up a lift I could use for the day.

my back..... nah my back was ok but my neck was done for 2-3 days. yes the smile on my face is priceless and the power the car is making is insain.

yeahhh boieeee get a lift and do a riteway DIY for everyone, with a lift 1st time should take you like 6-7hrs. if you do it let me know i might be able to help you out on some stuff to make things more easy.

Great post and good work getting those headers in there lying on your creeper. It takes a lot longer doing it that way, without a hoist, but it is sure satisfying once it is done. Congrats and thanks for posting up on the install!

I can relate to the sore neck. I have a floor jack and stands that I use to lift em up. I do most of my mods except welding and engine replacements. I gave up on my creeper and it sits against some stuff out of the way. I put on some coveralls and slide around on my back on the floor and find it faster and easier and gives me some extra wiggle room which is at a premium as you know.

Amazing! I wouldn't be brave enough to attempt something like this. I'd be afraid of getting half way through the install and end up getting stuck and left with a broken down car in my garage haha. I'm impressed.

This reminds me of the time I installed CSL headers on my M3 in my friend's garage. Two days of pain.....but rewarding in the end.

Mthis, could you tell how you jacked up the car to get the jack stands under there? I would very much like to know what the front and rear jacking points are other than the jack pads adjacent to the side skirts. Thanks!

It's great to see someone work on their own car.
