Laser Jammer
Thank you. They are the way to go at the moment.
Ultra performance , easy install , firmware upgrade possible.
And the best customer service availlable.
Got M27 and have never been defeated from any distance. 100% JTG on multiple guns.
Plus , the C63 is a pretty easy car to protect with not too much chrome. If you have black grill , even better perf.
The only - is the sun sensibility , which I heard is about to be solved by Blinder.

I had a blinder M25 on the C55, it was ok as far as the testing goes.. never had a chance to try it in real world since I rarely gets hit by a laser after the installation. The only time I was aimed by a laser, I had the jammer turned off

With that said, the M27 is WAYYY better than the M25 in terms of the performance/price and the upgradeable capability is another plus.

I had a prior warning and never removed the jammer I had. I had a court order to remove it and had to show proof of its removal from a business (invoice/recipt).
I told him i havent had time to remove it, so he arrested me for obstructing or preventing a policeman's job or some bull****...
needless to say, i was pissed, called a lawyer, and it got thrown up upon my removal of the device.
The reason a 'radar jammer' is illegal is obvious, but a infrared light jammer is retarded. But whatever, was fun while it lasted
It has a switch allowing to use it either as a laser jammer or as .................................................. ....... a parking assistant !!!
And here comes my recent story :
Was on a national road , driving easy.
Got pulled by a local police car.
Men is asking me the papers , asking if I know the reason why he's pulling me.
Me : "No.... To be honest I was 95km/h instead of 90 but I don't think thats the main reason (laugh)".
Him : "Obsiously not (ultra serious)."
He's turning around the car looking for a reason.
Him : "You have some dirt on your plate. You should wipe it ou or you could get a ticket from another collegue."
Obsiously he was just looking the car. Just found someting to have a closer look.
Him : "Whats that in your front grille ?"
Me : "What , sir ?"
Him : "These two little lens coming out".
Me : "Oh these ?! They are my parking assistants."
Him : "You'r sure ?"
Me : "Lets give it a try !"
Switch my M27 on parking mode.
Biiiiiiippp , biiiiiippppp.
Him : "OK OK , got the sound here. Here's your license , drive safely".
Me : "Thanks sir. Have a good day".
Gave him some 63 love before leaving

Radar detectors and laser jammers are ultra illegal in France. They found it , you are in jail same day and your car is not yours anymore.
Better be as stealth as possible and that option helps.

How much did the installation cost and where did you have it installed?
I'm thinking that a decent car stereo/specialty electronics shop do these installs, right?I got a ~ $500 "custom" installation quote (more than the cost of the unit itself
) and thought that was quite steep...any thoughts?

Are you saying the Blinder is an "easy install" as in a DIY install? As in...I could install it myself? That would be great. Most places see the MB and suddenly the 'install' price goes up to approximate the cost of the Blinder unit itself! Yikes!! I'd like to try the install myself.
Has anyone done the install DIY?
Thanks

BUT
HAVE IT INSTALLED CORRECTLY!!
The diodes have to completely level and have a clear vision of the road ahead or behind. They cant be placed behind glass, grills, etc. The best spot is in front of the honey comb grill on the front so they have a perfectly clear view up and ahead. In the rear on the license plate.
The kit will include a leveler though.
Here's a picture of my install, not the best place (some pros said the heads won't cover the upper area of the headlight) but it's the cleanest position I could think of.

Per the blinder specs, each transponder is 4" wide. The width between the spaces in the main grill is just at 4", so maybe they will not fit. I have an E class and not a C. I'm considering getting the M27, and am trying to figure out where I would mount the transponders.
Second question. The laser jammer will actually jam the signal? Or rather give me a warning?
Educate me please.
Ken
Ken - Both laser and radar systems use "gun type devices" -- so who knows what they were using. Where I live, most police are fat and lazy (ever seen a 300 lb. cop on a Harley police bike?) and just sit in their cars and shoot radar at everything going by, giving you time to slow down if you paying attention -- laser requires them to get out of the car and aim carefully. Different municipalities tend to use predominately one or the other, so the threat can change based on where you are. The laser jammer can be set to either just warn you or to warn and jam. Unlike radar, there is no point in just being warned of a laser threat - 99% of the time, if you receive a laser warning without jamming it, you are already done.
One other thing, my 9500 HATES Infiniti's, esp. the big-*** Suburban knock-offs. I think it is their adaptive cruise control or something, but every once in a while my 9500 goes apes**t when they get behind me.
