AUDI S5 or C63? Do you have a secret crush?
Ok, now that we all have C63s, driving around I see a lot of really sharp looking Audi S5s. I was very attracted to the look while deciding on the C63, but obviously chose the C63 due to heritage, engine, and stats.
But all egos aside, how many of you guys see an Audi S5 and say, "Damn thats a hot car" ? Don't get me wrong, I love the look of the C63, the rasied fangs on the hood, the rear spoiler, the power, the quad exhaust/ diffuser etc, but also really like the look of the Audi S5. Anybody see an Audi S5 with those LEDs, the rear lights, the side panels, the sleek leather inteiror and secretly have a crush?

MB GLK 350 4matic(FOR SALE), 2010 C 63 AMG(FOR SALE)
Sold my 09 S5 after 15 months with no regrets especially since driving the C63. S5 was a nice car for what it was, enjoyed it but boring compared to the 63 power. Looks were nice but not enough to compensate for its shortcomings.

C63
I ordered 09 S5 and waited 9months. I thought it was the coolest car with LED day running light. A week before S5 delivery, i took off and bought my C63. Powerwise, no comparison. I'd prefer S5 interior though.
It's funny that most VW group cars have LED day running lights today, which makes it very common seeing every day. it isn't that special as they used to be, and people who stick those LED "lines" on to their cars' headlight makes me feel sick...

C63 & Mustang Mach1(s)
I lusted after an S5 at SEMA way before they were released for sale. Loved the look, then I saw the M3 coupe well that was going to be the one. Until I HEARD the C. Never looked back at either. This car does so many things well, I feel that there aren't many, if any that can compare. Once this car was tuned I know nothing can compare as the beast was released.

i just love the raw sex appeal of the C63. while the S5 doesnt have that IMO.... im sure the RS5 will be more my style. but the C63 is here to stay and you cant beat the value dollar wise. i mean under 49k in 09.... how do you beat that?

The car is a coupe therefore it has an appeal that the C can't compete with. It has a slight resemblance with an AM Vantage which is not a bad thing. I wish our car had LEDs and the interior quality and the electronics is more user friendly. But like others, this is not enough to offset the amazing capabililties of our C.
Now I secretely have a crush on the AM Vantage V12 but that is not in the same price league.

09 C63
I owned an A5 for about 10 months then went to my local dealer to see a new S5 that just came in that I was going to trade my car in for. I looked at the car and compared it to my A5 (3.2lt, cat back exhaust, euro head light and tints) and I couldn’t justify spending that amount of money on such a similar car.
That same day I want to my local MB dealer seen a C63 in the showroom and treaded my A5 in a heartbeat...
I would have to say now that I owned the car for a few months and besides the gas mileage the C63 was a very smart choice. More room all around (A5/S5 has more trunk space), a tone more power the A5 (I'll assume S5 as well, but I didn't get to drive it more than 5 miles), and in my opinion the C63 looks so much more bada** then the A5/S5.

I was drooling on the S5 while I was purchasing my A4 a couple of months ago . I still perfer my C63, but the S5 is a very sharp looking car! My Audi has the Sports and Prestige packages which is almost identical to the S interior, and I have to say the AMG interior blows it away. Having gone on some decent drives in each car, the AMG is much more comfortable.

Looks of well equipped S5 are nice and interior is nice...BUT...it still comes up WAYYYY short of the C63. The cost of the S5 is just stupid IMO. A tuned 335i is $8k less, handles better and is faster. For $5k more you could have a C63. The only thing that differentiates the S5 from it's direct competitors is it's higher price. Not to be mean, but why would anyone pay so much for an S5 and end up with just an average performance car?

Trying to decide between S5 and C63 right now. Love the raw power/performance and interior of the merc. Love the quattro and looks of the S5. Also from pricing on autotrader, looks like the S5 might have a little better resale. Another thing is that I probably see 15 c-class mercs in a day and might see one 5 series Audi in a week.
Tough choice for me.

I think the S5 is one good looking car I actually like the looks of Audi in general. BUT the C63 is the complete package for me. I cant imagine anything out there I would be willing to trade a C63 for.

Unfortunately no. Really need to supercharge it for significant gains. There are a couple out there and others are in development. Eg, MTM has a kit, boosts hp to 505, 0-100km 4.3s, here's a link http://www.worldcarfans.com/10805281...t-supercharged. It's the most expensive I've seen, costs around 30k.
A5oc.com is trying to organize a group buy for a supercharger.
I don't have a secret crush on the S5, my crush is transparent: I own one.
Car is superb but I want more power. I'm seriously thinking about getting a C63. I'm trying to hold off until 2011 info is available. Also, would like to see some RS5 comparisons with the C63 and M3 before pulling the trigger on a C63. However, 2010s are dwindling.
