Upgraded Euro Console Cover Installed

*update, found a screwdriver that should reach ;D
Huh? Once you get the wood trim and the top plate of the console off those screws are staring you right in the face. No other screwdriver other than the torx 20 is needed. You only remove the three screws at the front (one of which holds the controller knob assembly on) the one under the coin tray and the two under the a/c vents at the rear. After that, it's pry the sides of the console inward and the part just pops off.
Here's the DIY again:

All the screws are off, and the console is basically off, just can't remove completely without getting that knob off first

Kaiba - you in or out for console?
Will be closing this project up after this round of orders.
Thanks,
Dave
Be careful when removing the rear vent assembly. After I "popped" mine out it went flying out of the car.

and damn that gray cable is a b*tch, there's no reason for it to be tied down the way it is, mercedes making my life difficult!

I see no need to put it back the way it came from MB, either. Overkill, IMHO.

Thanks to HBC350 for the helpful hints on the gray wire. They are invaluable.
Thanks many many times again to harrower for the huge amount of time and effort he put into this project and for making this mod possible for us all!
