Don't worry. I know you have a huge margin of improvement. What was your trap speed? Your 60' should be at around 1.9 or 2.0 for the average C63 owner with bone stock car. Your 2.6 sec 60' is killing you.
Typically a tenth of a second on the 60' equals two tenths less on the ET so I can easily see you at around 12,8-13.0 sec ET in no time. Best of luck!
I recently improved my times slightly using M mode, traction control off and launching at around 1700rpm. I was shifting when the red shifter lights lits.

it felt faster. especially when i lined up against a ricer in a honda he took off on me with about 2 car lengths and i caught and passes him with about 2 car lengths at the 1/4 line he just took off even though we spent 20 bucks for track time.

The 60' and trap speeds will tell us a lot. What was your average 60' and average trap speeds? Looking at your 2.6 60' I can tell you already what the problem was. A 2.0 60ft will put youright in the high 12's

One more thing is that I think that since you changed your tire yesturday so I dont think that you are getting the best gripping area yet. So if you get to that area you should get more grip at the start and get more good time.

Don't worry. I went to a drag strip the 1st time about 2-3 weeks ago. Made 10 passes and couldn't get under 13 until the last pass with 12.990. Just got to practice the launch more and more.

u suck at driving, who the f turn on their esp and launch the car at the the drag strip, if you are scare of fishtailing ,at least put the car in sport mode so esp won't cut power on first or second gears. you will have faster times but u need to turn off esp and put it in sport mode.

Which track did you go to? What was the elevation, temp, and weather conditions? DA could have played a role in your numbers as well, so the end numbers don't tell the whole story.

Try using less throttle on launch...in particular try taking about 1 second to go from idle to wide open throttle.
When you use too much throttle too quickly you'll either wind up spinning the tires (when ESP is off) or causing the ECU to apply the brakes and reduce power (when ESP is on). Either way, it slows you down.
With practice you should be able to run sub 2.0 second 60' times, which will greatly reduce your 1/4 mile elapsed time.
Good luck!
