Performance Box from Racelogic

So I researched which box I wanted to buy to measure my 0-60, 60 ft and 1.4 mile times and from everything I read, the Performance Box was the best choice for my purposes.

I then spent several weeks trying to find the cheapest price for the box. After finding a source that was selling the box at $50 cheaper than anyone else (PM me if you want the contact info) I ordered and received my box.

Needless to say, I am very pleased with being able to measure how different launch techniques, octane, amount of gas in the tank, etc. affect the acceleration numbers. My C63 is bone stock with the one change being I went to 265's on the rear.

So far, I have not had what I would consider an optimal launch with little to no wheelspin, but have managed to get these numbers with 1 ft rollout selected:

60ft - 2.1 sec
0-60 - 4.5 sec
0-100 - 10.7 sec
1/4 - 13.2 sec

I figure with an 1/8 of a tank, and a grippy surface I can get a 1.9 sec 60 ft, 4.3 sec 0-60 and around a 12.9 sec quarter (here in Tucson where we are 1,500 to 2,000 ft above sea level). These figures would be in line with what others have experienced at the track here in Tucson.

^^ Drew,

Just a clarification, the local track is at 3075ft however Tucson is listed at 2500ft . What is your trap showing? I need to try your V box, I personally have the Gtech Pro but it is a few years old.

The performance box is great.... I've been using mine for over 5 years and love it. It will help you learn to optimize your launch and shifts.

Carlos - thanks for the correction. I believe I trapped at 110.5mph if I remember correctly. Let me know the next time you go to the track and you can borrow my box.

good times...not bad stock with near stock wheels. And good choice with Performance Box...it is a MUST HAVE!

With K1 tune and X Pipes, my best 0-60 time was 4.2s (that was without brake stalling, just trying to feather the throttle).

But I average 60-100 times around 5.0-5.1 (high was 5.3, low was 4.75). I'm a bit surprised to see your 60-100 time around 6.2 secs...how were you shifting? Stock book numbers are 5.3...but 5.6-5.8 would be reasonable without a tune.

good times
where are you testing it. remember that at the track your times will get better 'cause of the grippier surface.

Miami - the best times I gave were a compilation and the best 0-100 did not include my best 0-60 time (I have done many more 0-60s than getting up over 100 since I really have to be careful).

Hiro - PM me and I will get you the cheapest place to buy the box.

Longbow - I am using an old road that does not have a good surface but does have very light traffic. I too am hoping that I will see a much more grippy surface at the track. I probably won't make it to the track until the fall when the temps are cooler and I can buy a newly rated helmet that comes out in October.
