That cheap interior is what kept me from even thinking about one. Worse than a Toyota.

Other than that, I like the car......

What I like!
The one and only thing.....

the Adaptive Transmission (in C and S modes)

You can't have consistent performance from the transmission if it is constantly "adapting." I spend a lot of time in traffic, so when I want to get on it, the car is lazy until it adapts again. I'd rather have a transmission that reacts quickly in all conditions. I like to know what to expect (meaning: what gear I'm gonna get depending on how much throttle I give it) and the adaptive "feature" makes this random. It's pretty frustrating on a "performance" car. Then again, I've driven manuals all my life.

MB GLK 350 4matic(FOR SALE), 2010 C 63 AMG(FOR SALE)
1. Better/wider rear tires
2. LSD should be standard in this car
3. Cheap a$$ door pins
4. Bigger fuel tank
5. AMG specific interior-steering wheel/gear shift
6. Lack of high grade leather interior. 1200 miles and wear signs on bolster
7. Bigger oil cooler
8. Better engine compartment ventilation. Way to hot even after just
normal driving
9. More quiet interior ventilation
10. Tint already applied like my GLK
11. Little more latitude on the side bolsters
12. Soft windshield
13. Bit more fender flare
14. Pathetic glove box
15. Keyless go should lock car when handle is touched
16. More control of convenience features
17. Steering wheel should retract and elevate when getting out of car
18. Slightly better gas milage but knew this at the time of purchase

All in all a fun car to drive but in this price range should not have these issues! They wouldn't be that difficult to address.

The option to bring up a large digital Speedo readout in the display instead of the tiny one currently available.

I can't believe no one said it yet.

BTW all the thing said before are right but here is the only thing that realy bugs me:

In manual mode, the shift from first to second gear is waaaaay too laaaazy.

The other shifts are better tough.

There must be a good half second between the time you pull on the lever in first and the time the car shifts in second.

It drives me crazy.

Out of interest, what’s the Bluetooth problem? I haven’t encountered anything yet.

It does retract and elevate! (at least on my '08)

go into your Settings menu.

Activate the "easy entry/exit" and there you go!

Of course between the whopper side bolsters and AMG wheel, my big A$$ still clips the entry sometimes

Okay, imagine you've saved 3 or 4 hundred contacts from your BlackBerry onto the car's phonebook memory. After, say, a month or two, about 20 of those contacts need updating: new cell number, or maybe a new direct line, etc. You've updated these new coordinates in your Outlook, synchronized them with your phone, but you have to manually make the changes in the car's memory.

I think that qualifies as retarded.

I agree, very un-user friendly for this day and age.

if you want it on all the time, turn the knob all the way to the right and pull it out.

It won't retract but is does elevate. It's the "EASY ENTRY" feature.

I noticed another thing that is a pet peeve.

With Keyless go, you can't lock the doors untill all the doors are closed.

Comfort Access on my BMW allows me to do this.

There's a reason. And it's a pretty good one.

Forgot one thing...LOL

The oil dipstick has to be one of the hardest to get to.. it is almost impossible not to trail a little oil on the motor at every check.
I had seen in one video where the hood went up a full 90 degrees, but mine is less than half that.

Wow, thanks for the great info... I've tried it last night, and it works!! I have so much more to learn about this car.

Push the hood up further. It naturally opens to 60ish degrees, you need to push it the other 30.

The leather on the C63 is nappa - higher grade than currently available on the E63 and the same as found on the ML63 and S63!

You can't lock your keys in the car anyway. Other than that, I don't see another reason, let alone a good one.

MAN O MAN, I would love to just ship the car back to Affalterbach and have them just fanagle the above list to our cars. It would be like a dream come true...Thats all it needs.....The above list applied retro...

FFFFF***** killing me...

It's not about locking your keys in the car, it's about the immobilizer. Mercedes equips their cars with an immobilizer and the circuit is completed when the doors and trunk are shut properly and locked either with the smart key or keyless go.

If a door is ajar, then the circuit's not complete and the immobilizer can't set itself. That also keeps you from inadvertently thinking you've locked the car and walking away, when maybe a door is not completely closed (or the trunk, since it's also connected to the immobilizer.)

Also, if you lock globally with the inside locking switch and you're inside, the immobilizer will activate if somebody tries to get in (or get out if they don't have a key) since the circuit will be broken.

I think BMWs are different because car alarms are a separate option from comfort access. At least my E46 is that way. I bought it without the factory alarm option installed.
