What do you HATE about your C63?
I know we all love our cars, but there are definitely little things that I look at and think "WHY". So, I'd love to hear what you guys hate and if anyone else is in the same boat as me. (And hopefully MB marketing find this thread and change the 2011 model to fix these things )
I hate:
- The tiny, pissy little glove box that doesn't even fit all my manuals etc well. This includes the weird shape, seriously, what were they smoking when they designed this!!
- That the car always defaults to ESP ON and C-mode when turning on (Stupid new green laws make then have to default to the most eco-driving mode)
- The easy to crack glass fog lights
- The soft glass used in the windscreen that pits like there is no tomorrow and when in the sun and driving, i can see specks everywhere!
That's about it for me that I can think of now, what about you guys?

My biggest gripes:
Skinny rear wheels. I mean seriously 255s on a 450+ HP RWD car? Not only that but you can max upgrade to 275s which granted is much better but in my opinion we should be running 285s or even 295s.
Auto default to C and full ESP (as above). I mean please, it has been more than 30 years since I last had a nanny.
Minor issue with the size of the fuel tank. I would have liked them to add 10/20 liters to the capacity so I didn't have to pull over every 300 km

Not that we are going to convince MB of any changes but:
1. Useless glove box..Manual packet has to be stored elsewhere
2. Small 255's on rear
3. No electric folding mirrors.. I park at RR station every day and its a pain to manually fold each side
4. Wheel locks not standard, or part of a package
5. Dealer network having no clue about Designo options
6. Cheap door lock pins

Wish the seats would go lower. I remember when MB seats could go to the floor. Also wish the steering wheel would range up higher. A bigger gas tank and lock pins that go all the way down would be nice. Some other gripes were taken car of for the MY2010, like reverse mirror dip, real iPod integration, keyless go. Parktronic would be nice to have. Rear side shades. But I may in the minority in that I feel the powertrain is good enough.

I knew what I was getting into when I purchased the car, and I purchased it for the thrill only. While the car does have minor design flaws, the one that affects me most is the fuel tank. I knew what I'd average before buying this beast, but it does suck when you actually have to pull over at less than 200mi continuously.
Btw, my car turns on to whichever mode it was prior to turning off. What're you guys talking about?

I have to go with the cheap interior, for a $50k+ vehicle, it should be much nicer.
And the door lock pins that stab me in the arm every day, wtf, euro spec is flush, why the hell is the US one not...
Yeah, same with mine, if I leave it in manual, it reverts to whatever mode I was in prior to being in manual mode, but if I leave it in S mode, its in S mode when I turn the car on.
I have not really messed with the ESP though, so no idea there.

Not hate, but dislike:
1) Cheap door pins.
2) Should have more AMG specific interior trim pieces like shifter knob or AMG logo on steering wheel.
3) Not having a 19" wheel option.
4) Metal hood instead of aluminum like other competitors in the segment.
5) Didn't come with Euro cupholders.
6) Didn't come with "ROW" air box tops.
7) Non-vented hood. Where is all this heat supposed to go?
8) Not having a no sunroof option.

my only gripe is the power issue . why tune cars to their size if they all have the same motors . all of them should have 500+ . with that said , i need to get my computer flashed soon . i need to wake up my monster

1. Ancient iPod integration
2. Poor gas mileage
3. Soft windshield
4. Tire wear
5. Lower HP than other AMG's with same 6.3L
I do love the car overall, but the iPod integration so pathetic I don't use it anymore. My 2003 Infiniti was superior to this junk!!

Me thinks the tranny always going back to C mode is a 2010 MY thing.. The manual specifically says it will not hold the M setting after shut down.
It really is no big deal.

Yeah, must be a Euro/Aussie thing. Mine always defaults to C/ESP on. Annoying considering I always drive in combinations of S/M and ESP-SPORT/OFF.
Has anyone noticed that the rear centre arm rest cup holders are different sizes left to right? I found this out on a long trip last week with a full car. One rear holds a beer perfect, the other requires a stubbie holder as a sleeve to fit it right.
I forgot about the fuel tank. I'd have liked a 80L tank for sure.
Also, I would have liked a song "next" and "previous" on the steering wheel next to the volume buttons.

-I hate the fact that the tires are so skinny in the rear, should have came at least 285 from the factory.
-Windshield is too soft, pits easily.
-should have flared out the rear quarter panels to accommodate wider wheels & tires.
-dosent have the 19" 16 spoke amg wheel option.
-should have came with the same power as in the other 6.3 models.

Is because the ambulance chasers will sue MB when some loser forgot to use the door handle when he closed the door on his foot.
