Help regarding tire size for new 19 inch wheels

I know I should search but I just need true and field tested sizes for tires. My wife drives the car sometimes so I'm not planning to drop the car.

I'm getting a new set of wheels 19x8.5 and 19x10. Please tell me what the tire size I should get that will not require fender work.

Pics of wheels for reference

.
Based on the widths listed, fronts either 235 or 245 (i've seen people on here run both) and rears 275.

+1
But for the tires to be wider and on 19" you might need to get smaller side walls than stock.
I believe the rears for oem is 255/35/18? So maybe 275/25/19 or 275/30/19 (might fit)

go with 265 on the rear to be safe...
to run 275, offset needs to be spot on

If it helps at all, I'm running 245/35/19 front with 19x8.5 ET40, and 275/30/19 rear with 19.x10 ET51.

See here:

Here are two pics I've just shot specially for you of my rear tire and fender clearance.

Keep in mind, this is with 5mm spacers.

Your rear is ET46 after spacers . . . look at me get all mathy.

This is by-far the most aggressive setup on a C63 I've seen.

Is it me or do these look a lot like the new super light weight BBS wheels? Either way, great looking wheel. Rads are money.

The widest you want to go is 275/30 19 but that will all depend on the offsets, I will check with Radengerie tomorrow to see what fitment is available to offer our recommendations on the proper tire size.

I am getting it straight from the US distributor. Since this will be the 1st wheel of this kind on a c63 application. No one knows what Germany ended up shipping as far as offsets.

Did you drop your car and roll your fenders?

No, and no.

I took the car out for some more spirited turns yesterday night with my gf in the seat, and still no rubbing.

Head downtown and play a little on the steep streets where elevation and pitch changes rapidly.

I agree. The offset will also play a HUGE role here on tire sizes. I have seen many here using 275's out back, but as stated you need to be spot on with the offsets. If you want to be conservative, I say 265's might be a better fit, but on a 10" might be a bit skinny, and you would want to go 235's up front to match a bit better. Also depends on tire manufacturer, just becuase it says xyz on the sidewall does not mean it will be exactly the same as the next mfg's zyz same size tire, some run skinny and some run fat, so be careful here on brand and series tires as well. I run a 9.5 out back on a 265 Continental Extreme Contact 3 but I have a very aggressive offset due to the concave design ADV1's I have. I "had" 275 Nitto NT01's and they rubbed, especially on angled driveways, and large street elevation changes that unload the suspension then suck the car down like Super just mentioned.

Out of curiosity what offset are you running on your sig? I'm assuming there is no spacer on your setup?

Great thread... I wanted to know the answer as well!! I am getting 19x10 in the rear with special offset for the C63... so I guess I'm safe to run 275/30 in the rear.

ET46 and still no rubbing? I better call Kleemann and order the 12mm spacers for an effective offset of 48mm.

Yea, so far so good on the rubbing. I'm still very hesitant about putting two adult-sized passengers in the rear seats and test out the tires--something tells me it'll rub.

Just enter a not-so-steep driveway at a 45 degree angle and one of the rear (depending which direction angle you enter at) wheels will tuck in. Then you can see.

What's funny is here I am doing a search on C63 tire rubbing and I find this thread with these (EXACT) wheels that I bought 2 months ago and just got to mounting them up........LOL. I think I have some 3mm spacers in the back for caliper clearance.
