Flat front license plate bracket for C63 AMG
Good morning AMG enthusiasts!
I am a proud owner of a 2009 C63 AMG with P30 Performance Package and CF trim in silver metallic for a while now.
I will put up some pics as soon as I have time to clean the car properly and stop driving around, but it is just pure pleasure to play with the beast.
Now I have a simple question, my research wasn`t successful at all.
Where can I purchase a flat license plate bracket or holder for the AMG front bumper?
I have the OEM part, but it follows the contour of the bumper, so it is bent.
I just want to have a flat surface in order to mount a nice front plate due to the fact the car came with the bracket and I have the holes in the bumper now.
I do not want to bend anything, so any ideas are more than welcome.
I basically need the original bracket with a flat surface.
Thank you very much in advance, have a pleasant day.
Best regards
Stefan

I feel your pain about this bracket... it was hard to screw in my front clear license cover... I had to screw it in slowly to avoid cracking, but it's all good now!

Good morning everybody!
I know that many people bend their license plates in order to fit the shape of the bracket.
But I purchased a special customized plate that can`t be bent.
Please let me know if there is any possibility to get a flat version, otherwiseI have to try to modify the existing one.
Thank you again.
Best regards

I think the plates in the UK and HK are also made of a material that is rigid can any the members from there confirm this? and if yes how do you deal with it?? TIA

here is just a suggestion. Living in Europe I needed to have front plate and MB put on the Euro bracket which has very nice fit with bumper. The mounting surface is fairly flat where the plate is attached and can be attached with or without screws depending on what you want. I had mine attached with 3M in case I wanted to remove the bracket at later date. Some may the extra elongated look offensive, but my plate is fairly flat when mounted against the bracket. There is very slight bend in the center, but very little. See attached photo

Good morning dear AMG community!
Thank you for the help and ideas so far, I might really think about the German bracket.
I like the size of the US version, but if there is no possibility to get a flat version, I won`t have any other options, except for a custom-made solution.
Aren`t there any C63 drivers or c-classes with the AMG front bumper that have one of the chrome plates that can`t be bent?
I thought I have seen some in this community, but I am not sure.
Have a nice day!

You cannot purchase a euro bracket in the US unless you get it sourced from someone in Germany. I would suggest trying this first.
Front Marque Plate Spacer Kit
Part Number: BQ6880108
Customer sales text: This spacer kit is required for installing certain license plate frames on your Mercedes-Benz.
Dealer sales text: Use this spacer kit when adding a front marque plate on a vehicle with steep angle in the front bumper (eg. E-Class W211). This spacer kit will allow the marque plate to be mounted on the front bumper without having to bend it to fit the vehicle.

Hi!
There wouldn`t be any problem to get the Euro style version.
Where can I get the spacer kit, how does it look like?
It sounds interesting to me, is it a OEM kit?
Thank you again for the ideas.
Best regards

Good morning!
Sorry for the late reply, I was quite busy.
I went to the dealership and had alook at the spacer kit, you can only use it with the standard license plate brackets for the regular C-class.
They won`t help in the case of the v-shaped bracket.
Is there anybody who can mold a special brackte with flat surface, maybe in cf?
Any other people interested in a flat version?
I will wait and if there is no other chance, I will go ahead and mount the European version with a German license plate.
Thank you for all the suggestions.

Good afternoon!
After thinking about my options, I will go for the European style license plate bracket.
Can anybody please post the OEM part number for a 09 C63?
My parents in Germany will buy it for me and send it to me.
Another question: Where can I get a plate with the AMG logo only?
In some pictures online, you can see the European bracket with a white on black AMG logo.
Thank you for all your support.
Best regards

Do you not think that looks really weird?
Why not just 3M the license plate to the car?
I used to do that, now I use the tow hook holder...

I needed to install the Euro plate holder as the car will be eventually be registered here in Europe and I will have to mount the elongated CZ plates. Laws require plates here to be centered (for those nasty photo-radar traps re: another form of taxation) so I could not do what you have done as far as off-setting goes.

Hi!
I am not worried about the look, I am from Germany and I might mount a German license plate on the front. I am asking for teh ideas because I already have 4 holes drilled in the bumper.
I could just go to a paint shop and repair the bumper, but this is a quite expensive option.
I wil give it a try, I don`t think it looks so weird on photos of German C63s.
Please provide me the right OEM # or tell me where to look it up.
Thank you very much.
Best regards

you could try and see if the older Mitsubishi Evo License plate holder might work as that holder put the license plate to the front left side of the car. I had that on my IS300.
