I know that Dads would not like it but its about time to get GT Wing like mine. With that much HP you need to get huge amount of down force for sure and these GT Wing can get it for sure. It does not have to big as mine but need something for sure

But also need to get wide fender also to put in bigger tires for sure also.

He's right and I bet Sharif @ Forged Performance could have a c/f fully adjustable wing on your car before we hit Sebring next month! Just think in drag race mode it will add rear weight during the launch(not much downforce sitting still) and you can have it auto eject after the 60" with explosive bolts. Randy might not be happy about the debris on his track but all you need is one run anyway.

Now thats FUNNY!! I don't care who you are! Sebring will be interesting.

Thank you very much for all the kind words, especially "MB Forever". This is a passion and hobby and lots of fun!! This car has made going fast and doing it in style easy which is what I like about it the most!!
The installation of the interior got put off a day because the roof has to be sanded and clear coated before the headliner can be reinstalled because of the antenna. Should be ready to roll by tomorrow or Thursday.

Cleared the body shop.
Now back to get the interior all reinstalled and hopefully ready by this afternoon or tomorrow!!

None fast enough!
The roof skin is not a structural component, FYI. All of the structure is still there under the skin. The main roll over protection is designed in the A to C pillar which is not modified. This is the same for nearly any modern unibody car (including the CLK63 BS which we also have a CF Roof for).

Looks like all the pillars and factory structure remained intact and just the thin painted outer skin was removed along with the weighty sunroof...won't impact safety as that's all in the pillars...

Its all being done at Sanford Paint and Body here in town. They do outstanding work!!

The total weight savings is 40#.

The only down side so far is that the "oh S*&#" handles in the roof will not be functional anymore. Simple explanation - with a sun roof model the handles are further towards the outside of the car. With the non-sunroof headliner(European models) the handles are further in so the brackets don't line up. No problem, we just installed the handles to the headliner so they are there for asthetic purposes but you can't pull on them or you'll pull the headliner down.

Just have to be sure that no one pulls on them.

The only interior part that I have ever removed for racing is the passenger seat and that was for the mile run. We had the cage in at that time so I took out that seat to offset the cage weight. I will find a way to make our goals without sacrificing the luxury interior. Thats why I got the factory headliner from Germany so it would look stock from the inside.
