Dads C63 gets a new Carbon Fiber Roof!!
Well guys, the project has started!! I want to say a personal thanks to Dave at Sanford Paint and Body for taking on this project. They do top notch work!! It will look incredible. Already got the stock headliner for a non-sunroof car from Germany so it will look completely stock from the inside. I am stoked!!
Have to say that out of all the nonperformance mods this has me the most excited!! Can't wait to see the finished work!!

HOLY CRAPP!!! They are going to cut the roof off!!

This will be a very cool project for sure. I have a questions though....after this and all the other mods, how much will you have spent in aftermarket parts and labor ?

Regarding to the question about the cost. You need to remember its not a hobby its a lifestyle. Cost is secondary as long as you're happy.

Takes some cojones to put a Sawzall to a perfectly good AMG!

Should be a very cool install. What will be the weight savings? Must be significant losing the sunroof glass.

I wouldn't even know where to begin. Lol
Besides that we're not done yet!

Weight savings, will know when we finish. I will tell you the C/F roof only weighed 11 pounds.
There will still be structural support. I have a roll bar anyway.
Thanks guys, I'll keep you posted.

It's a Revozport diffuser.

I would love to do this on my C55. It has to be super high quality. With the hood, roof and even a rear trunk in CF. The weight savings will be noticeable.

I know that you will love how the car will handle!! It will feel like totally different car for sure to save weight on the roof. Like BMW does AMG have to do this in stock for sure.
