MBH long tubes what do you guys think!??
Hey guys how's it going with you all it's been awhile since I have been on the forum hope all is good with you guys and your beasts! Anyways I was reading lately about the MBH long tube headers, and as far as I see they are the best whp gain on the market! So what so you guys think of em and has anyone installed it on their cars!? plus I have the kleeman k2 so will it be ok if just take out the kleeman shorties, put those long tubes and delete the 2nd cats!??and will it work fine with the kleeman tune I have!?? Cheers...

Your K2 tune will likely NOT work optimally with any LT's, including MBH's. You should anticipate sending it back to Kleemann for revision (primarily, adding fuel). AFAIK, though, it probably won't cost you much (if anything) other than shipping.
Good luck!

I'll briefly weigh in here but full driving impressions are coming later in their own thread...I just haven't had a chance to do all of the driving I've wanted to since the MBH headers were installed...there are many other things going on these days. Any comments I make about these headers are simply my own observations, no more, no less, and certainly no reflection on any competitor's products because what I know of them came largely from this forum.
First off, the quality of the product looks to be superb. I wanted a "lifetime" system and I got it, thanks to the product, fabrication and installation work done by MBH and Dyno-Comp. The system was designed at my request with removable primary cats and fixed secondary cats. With the primary cats installed it's still loud (as loud or louder than I like it to be) under WOT conditions or hard acceleration with a transmission kickdown, but very civilized while puttering around. Please note that with primary cats I am down 20 whp from the same system with test pipes installed, but I am a stickler for retaining the civility of a daily driver.
I never drove the C63 with just the MBH headers installed, only after a custom RENNtech tune (big thanks to Ken of RENNtech!). In the appropriate gear the car simply leaps forward in a way the OE setup never did. It is FAST. Later in the year I hope to do the usual performance measurables but right now I'm very busy with work, two moves and travel, and am commuting in the M5 so my seat time in the C63 has been limited. To date my overall impressions are 100% positive. You can't go wrong with these headers. IMHO.
