Pacific Raceways, Kent, WA: Test & Tune 21 July
Any interest in going to Pacific Raceways for the Test & Tune on 21 July,
Wednesday? Gates open at 4 PM. I've got some Nitto NT555R drag radials I'm looking to get some 1/4 mile time on. Any takers? Weather should be perfect....hopefully.
BTW, I'll be at Carb Conn on Sat at 10 AM for a few dyno pulls.

For The 12st: I'm stuck with a frakking presentation at 5pm. I committed to it ages ago and can't blow it off.

Even Money - what's the deal at Carb Conn tomorrow? A special event or just you? I was just looking at their site to get their phone # to call them in the morning to see if I could come in and finally baseline my P31.

We've had several runs. My best is 12.6. @112.3. Temps were about 90. So waiting till it cools down, about 8:30 well go again. Drag radials are hooking. This is awesome.

Spit the beans. What are your 60' times? with those tires , the quaife and the tune you should be at least at 1.7 sec steady no? Are you launching on M mode or S mode? what rpms?

Where the hell did this heatwave come from??? Dash temp was north of 90-degrees most of the day.
Anyhow, this was our first time at the track with C63s. It was a freaking blast! More of you PNWers need to come out next time. I'm headed back next Wednesday (Going to run the stock exhaust setup to compare).
I'm officially hooked again. I can't wait for cooler weather! More importantly, I am officially going to cave and order some Long Tube Headers.

One cool data point. EM's car consistently dynos 40 RWHP less than mine (446 vs. 406) on our local dynojet. Our MPHs indicate the same delta. Good to see the data aligning.

I just got home...seemingly after smashing every bug in the state..I'm gonna have to wash the car again tomorrow..
Thanks again to super and dad's for the tips, I'm just happy to be able to drive the car home in one piece, unlike some unlucky fellow who blew something (nitrous) right in front of me and had to be towed off the track. Maybe super remembers what type of car, he was right next to me, but it was nice...
It was awesome racing next to super's car, the tone is stupid loud as he describes it. Gotta get some lt headers so I can keep up! James????
The learning curve was steep, but after 5 or 6 runs, it's fairly simple. ESP off, A/C off, sport auto mode. Back into the water box, burnout, stage at about 1,200 rpm then floor it on the next to last amber light and hold on.
I think doing a longer burnout would have helped my 60 times, although the car seemed to hook OK. Also, next time will try staging at a bit higher RPMs.
All in all it was a great time, and if you ever have a chance to go to the track...GO!!
