+3 door pins. When I replaced them I was shocked as were MB techs at how cheap they are. Pure plactic and the cheap stuff as well. Makes you wonder.

i wouldn't say it's cheesy but the detuned powerplant is something that bothers me . why have the same exact motor but with less hp

Cause it would make the least expensive AMG also the fastest AMG. It would pretty much kill their own market.

Door pins hands down! second would be the over abundance of chrome everywhere else, especially exterior.
I actually dont mind the fabric on the door bottoms, its better than the cheapo plastic they use in the rest of the dash etc.

The really unfortunate thing about those doorpins is they're exactly what you'll find in the E63 AMG too.

Orange side markers and door pins. I also don't like the gear shifter. Great thing is, all of those are simple to change.

The seats are great, They could have definitely used better quality leather. Is the leather the same as in the CLK63 black series too?

I do. No way a $65K car should have anything so glaringly cheesy visible to the eye. An additional $100 in materials would have made a huge difference inside these cars.
