A little water in exhaust

Well i went to one of those 1 dollar car wash places with the high power hose. I was just spraying the dirt off and the back of the diffuser. I'm not sure but i may have sprayed some water into the exhaust. Just a little paranoid, but what the worse that can happen? anybody with experience with such car washes feel free to chime in. I don't think it could've been more than going to a machine car wash that sprays water, but like i said i'm paranoid since i just got car.

Assuming the exhaust was hot when you sprayed, together with the fact you soon thereafter got the car up to operating temp, i would not worry.. most of it evaporated. Its not as if you held a hose full on down the outlets.

Surprisingly you guys made me feel a lot better about it. I went for about a 50 mile drive b4 i got the carwash and it was about 85 outside so im guessing it's ok.

When I was little, I used to put the hose in my mom's car and fill the whole thing up with water. Then I'd turn the car on and the water would shoot out. Please don't hate, I was a little kid.
Nothing ever happened to the car. Not that I could tell anyway.

I think as long as you don't enter the cylinders through the exhaust valves, you are OK. You should drive a bit to dry it out though.

you can vapor lock your engine if water enters the intake, but no issue with it getting in the exhaust. ^ used to do the same thing with exhausts and water when i was a kid too! hahaha

Its all good dude, you have nothing to worry about. A little water in the exhaust isn't gonna do anything to the car.

It will have a bit more of a gargle in the sound till all the water is blown out. No issue. I'd only be worried if you fill it with water and the car sits for months.
