I don't give a sh*t how nice of a place, how exclusive, or how much of a rush I am in, giving your C63 or any car for that matter, to a valet is like putting in dirty needle in your arm and hoping everything will be ok in 2 weeks...

yeah I never valet any of my cars--especially won't with the C63 because you just know they're f-ing with it.
How can you blame 'em
Did something happen to you?

they should've made a valet key for our cars, that would allow it to only rev up to 3k rpm and only up to 45mph and start off in second gear like it does in comfort mode

Please tell us, what is wrong with valet service? Did they trash your car?
I have been using valet service here for a while now and they have always treated my cars with respect and are very careful driving them. Maybe they are just not used to the size, cus most cars here are only small.

I think it's different in the states. If you have any exterior mods (Rims, CF lip, diffuser) chances are they won't care enough or know enough to not damage the car.

Sigh, when I got my car chipped... a week later I went to a nice restaurant for lunch.
I gave the keys to the valet and I came back from lunch he asked me " Is your car chipped? I drove it a little in the parking lot ( an alley of about 30 meters ) and I felt it "
my reaction was " WHAT ? " and i really ignored it because there were no issues.

I have to say it gets the best treatment. Choice spots front row and many kids just standing around looking at it.
In NY I would never Valet my car though so im with you on that point.

I was at a semi-decent restaurant that has upscale burgers and a really nice bar/ seating etc, with valet service. The kid was 16. Probably just got his license.
He took a 2010 S 63 and just jumped in like it was a trampoline, then slammed the door like it was a tank, I watched him try to do the push start and didn't realize how to do it because he wasn't stepping on the break, yanked on the wheel to get out of a tight corner and I saw him drive around to park. Tires screaming.
Made me shiver...

I would have to agree with you, premium parking spots. Over here this is near the building you are going to and there is always a security guard no more than 20m away.
We went to Siloam Hospital the other day and the valet and the security guards were soooo helpful. We had to spend a few days there, birth of our daughter, I was able to stay with my wife as they had spare beds for spouses. The car was well looked after and they even gave it a wash before they brought it to us when we were ready to leave. No charge.

If that was my car I would find the manager right away and have that kid fired.

Unfortunately, in many of the parking lots in DC, you have no choice but to let the attendant park the car.... I try to avoid those places and find parking on my own (the convention center/ Verizon center parking lot for example you can park yourself), but sometimes, its not just possible.

Quite simply I will not go to or attend any function or establishment where I must valet any of my vehicles...ever. If necessary I will taxi it.

I'm a consultant, I do not have that option, especially when hitting many of the federal buildings in downtown DC which have no parking.
Taxing a taxi everytime I do that, might as well sell the car because the costs (cannot expense it either) would equal a car payment every month.

I actually found myself laughing quite a few times during that video.
Thankfully, I'll never valet my C63, it's not a DD for me so it will only travel to places I can park it myself.
the 911 and the Maserati made me pissed because you know those guys would freak
