What type of interest is there here for a carbon fiber C63 hood with vents?

Thanks Neal, I think you have a good idea about the styling in general and most importantly recognize the need for the most effective heat evacuation. I will certainly purchase one as long as the finished product is what has been discussed and priced fairly.

.
Slightly OT, why not get rid of the sidemarkers and make a vent out of CF in it's place? Angle the vanes upwards. Also, just leave the bulb hanging inside wrapped in electrical tape. Or, It might look fugly too.

Thank you!

Also note guys, most of these cars (not all) but a large amount of cars from the factory with hood vents, are not all the time functional. Instead they are there usually on the performance model to differentiate it from the standard model, and mimic real performance oriented race cars. Such as the jag above made me think if mentioning that.

The Jag above is functional. You can see the engine through the slits. I wish I had a camera with me to take a pic of the underside showing the actual slit(s).

I know what you mean, my uncle has a XFR and I have actually borrowed it once for a few days. The hood is cut out, but not enough to provide noticable cooling.

This is just about what I have in mind.......M3 power bulge is retained and Viper style vents were molded in.
