New M3 Coupe review, more kudos to the C63

It's great to read a M3 review where the reviewers speak more highly of the C63.

Very true about our interior vs. the M3, and this is why I like the C63 better. Just think about it, we use the interior of a car much more often compare to other features like performances or looks.

I like this quote: ".....while the C63 in comparison is more akin to a gruff-looking killer who uses a backpack full of heavy blunt objects."

As much as i love my car i wouldn't say our interior is better made than the m3's interior. Overall I think the center panel at least is more well put togather in the bmw and less plasticy. Our seat however is definitely much superior than the ones in the m3.

Being a previous M owner i have to agree bmw manual trannies are pretty notchy and dont feel tat great at all. M3's exhaust is also a bigger downer

i have owned 3 M3 's and the last one was the E46 M3, i sold it because i wanted something newer and i still think that that is my all time favorite for looks and engagement. i test drove both the C63 and the M3 several times, and because as a BMW guy i was biased and had to drive the M3 again after the C63 because i could not believe why i felt drawn more to the C63. enfin you know the result , i decided to go to the dark side MB and now after 4 months i have no regrets. yes the steering in the M3 is great but it is extremely good in the MB as well. also, the M3 in my opinion while steering sharp, feels also somewhat disconnected , an obvious result of progress (read over abundant use of electronics which make it feel like a computer game). this is great for the track but i find this reduces the fun factor for me. the MB hugs you better behind the wheel in i think slightly superior seats as well. the steering in the MB is better weighted and you can actually feel where you are going. and i am sorry but i can do away with all the five hundred different settings for suspension and shifting, hammer down and get ready for one of the most exiting thrill rides on four wheels this side of ferrari.
i was wondering what was up with all these biased write-ups in the car rags of late. thank you motorweek

This is the first time I have heard such unanimous praise for the C63 over the M3. Did MB pay off the autoweek staff? LOL

First review not paid under the table by BMW yay! Tho they STILL compare the coupe version of the M3 instead of the sedan!

Supercharged E92 M3
I like the C63

floor matt
speedo
door seals
seats
pedals

what I think C63 can improve on

tranny
center console
more aftermarket parts

basically I've gotten to know these 2 cars quite well and found out they are designed around different thoughts in mind.

both great cars! so you really can't go wrong with either an M3 or a C63 but the RS4............there is just something missing.

What I like!
I spent 3 years on a waiting list for "the V8 M3" before it came out. But I ended up with the C63 for many of the reasons they mention. I remember posting on M3post the same thing those journos said... that "I dont want to have to push a button to adjust the steering feel, shock firmness and throttle response every time I drive the car!" It's gadgets for gadgets' sake.

Finally some journos agree that the C63 is just a better car in the real world. Power everywhere, unapologetic sound, simplicity and lack of electronics that interfere with the driving experience.

Although the ///M3 is a car I admire; the C63 is a car I can live with.

It's a bit over the top, I've never seen reviews of one car spend so much time praising a competitor. But I like it,,,,,,

Wow, cool write-up. I didn't expect all of the writers to favor the MB.

It's hard to ignore how unique and fun the C63 is.

I agree with all of those improvements. The C63 is the first automatic I've owned in a long time. While I'm not that big of a fan of the dual clutch paddle shifting systems, I would have loved a good old fashioned manual transmission.
