I've seen the cloth seat, when I bought my C63. I have to say that they were unique, but I personally would not buy them. I prefer the leather, but the cloth ones have leather as well, but with a cloth center section. Personally if your going to pay 60K+ for a car, they better have leather. I couldn't see paying all that oney for cloth seats, but that's my opinion.

This is the cheapest new 2010 C63 in the US now, and it still has the leather.

I like it with the center in cloth, look different and look very sporty i must say. I say get it like that everybody has leather!

I like it too - but understand you are taking a risk when resale time comes around - people may not want cloth. Maybe it will be a hit, but you never know.
For example, E46 M3's with the sunroof delete - lots of forum fanboys go "ohh sooooo COOL!" but when it comes time to sell, your market is 1/10th of the overall market because only a select few want a BMW without a sunroof.

I have to agree, small nitch fan base for cloth seats Also for special colors, like yellow, orange, lime green and gold. They don't have a good resale value, unless you find someone that likes those ugly exterior colors.

I wouldn't mind cloth inserts either, but these are a black/gray checkered pattern that I don't think looks that good. Solid black cloth would be better..

C63 AMG (P31)
I purposely got the cloth and so far I like it a lot.
First of all it doesn't get as hot as black leather does under the sun and the contrast between cloth texture and the leather side bolsters and head rest actually make it really sporty looking.

I do have to admit though that I do miss the soft and smooth texture of leather... and the smell haha. Its really up to you. Once you start driving nothing really matters anyways. You'll be so lost in power that you'll crave for more.

I wanted (and got) a P31/LSD car with cloth seats. And I love it. I wanted no nav too, but couldn't find that combo anywhere. I hear the comments on resale and suspect their is some truth to them...more for the lack of full power than for the seating surface material. The seats feel great, but this is a MB not a GT3, so the manual fore/aft could be a problem.
