DMS ECU Tune
I have DMS ECU tune and I heard that DMS not only gain power but they put in CLK 63 Black Series throttle map into the ECU program to make response more aggressive! power gain and feeling of the car is really nice.
I dont have Dyno test on my car but hope that I do one when weather get little bit cold. Right now in Japan is like 36C so its too hot. I dont have before dyno result so cant compare but hope that it comes out good.

How did you go about installing your tune? Did you have to remove the ECU, open it up? Or can it be done through OBD-II?
So, are you saying that you have the CLK63 Black Series tune in your C63 or just some of the parameters in your tune come from the Black Series tune?
Edit: I just went to their site. I couldn't find any information on their tune for the C63 or any of their AMG63 tunes.
How much was the tune in US or Euro denomination if you don't mind me asking? Perhaps you could PM me the info if you don't want to post it.

CLK63 black series also doesn't have downshift blips, I'm guessing your tune doesn't touch that or that's through TCU. I don't really see a need to get the 63 BS tune, the aftermarket tunes are aggressive in themselves...maybe just marketing.

I agree that there are other good tunes out there and that there would be no real need to get the BS tune, but I was just curious to know about another option.
I just wish I could have a tune that has basically the same maps as a factory E63.
I just like the thought of having a car programmed the way the factory intended and since the C63 and E63 have the same engine, I don't see why they can't be programmed exactly the same.

Think how much money MB could make offering it as an aftermarket option on existing cars. Factory installed, warranty friendly and nothing but the labor cost for the dealer. Wait till the 5.5 TT is fully implemented and maybe this may come to fruition.

Their hypothetical aftermarket tune -- which is likely the P31 tune or another tune that they already have -- would probably have to be approved by CARB to be 50-State emissions friends in order for it to be sold by MBUSA.
That means MB would have to install the tune in a regular C63 and submit it to CARB for testing. It does cost thousands of dollars for each submission (I hear around 30K), but MB certainly can afford this price.
So it likely boils down to MB not wanting people that would have otherwise opted for the Performance Package to forego said option and select the hypothetical MB aftermarket tune.
But, I think that even if MB offered an aftermarket tune, the majority of prospective sales of the Performance Package would still be met because most people that can afford the Performance Package from the factory would want to get a fully loaded car which would include the PP.
Like you said, there would be even more money to be made by selling an aftermarket tune for people that don't want the stiffer suspension on the PP and the different brakes and the extra cost of the entire package.
Basically, I don't understand why such a tune is not available.
