622 HP C63

What are you talking about? Before I installed my progressive controller I made over 75 passes on nitrous with a system that was set up to spray at WOT, so basically from about 1900 RPM and up. Been spraying it for two years with no issues and compression numbers that are nearly what they were when the car was brand new.
What I am more interested to hear is what type of set up and jet size, a 150 shot should be making more than 622 on a 63 with heads, my 63 dynoed 619 and change with a 100 shot and stock heads over a year ago...its on You Tube and its posted here on MB World before anyone call BS.
These are some impressive numbers either way, but a 640-650 number would sound a little more realistic to me based on the head mods and the claimed 150 shot jets.

What's the 1/4 mile target? 11.2 now, so 10.5 or lower? I think the C63 is just too heavy to pull in the 9s but low tens would be great!
The reason I say is that much lighter cars with 700HP (ex: Shelby Cobra) go in the high 9s. With 770HP my guess will be 10.63 (the 63 sounds great he he)

There have been alot of question for Keith, with no response from him. I've been the here with the car for the past few days, and relaying the info to Keith as we move forward.
Keith is (thanks to Hurrican Earl) stuck in Antigua on his extended anniversary trip. HEHEHE
As of now, he'll be back home (and online) sometime Thursday. He'll have answers to all the questions you guys may have.
Until then, we've tuned it down just a little (need to finalize a richer tune). Should still around 590HP very savely![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Progressive nos controller is your friend at the track with drag radials and street tires...... so you can maintain some level of traction.
Also don't want to engage nos @ low RPM or you'll pool the no2 in the intake tract and kaboom.
At that power level will you need slicks. also is a roll cage coming soon?
Nice HP.

Where do you guys come up with this stuff????
Nitrous does not "pool" because it vaporizes into gas as soon as it is released from the bottle into the atmosphere
I've run nitrous for years (not in my C63) and always hit it out of the hole during WOT

Yes, no, yes and yes........
Yes --- it's set-up on a progressive controller (see dyno sheets above)
No --- no2 only comes in after 4200 (at current settings), so pooling is NOT a problem
Yes --- Have had slicks for quite a while
Yes --- We had one of (if not the first) C63 to be equipped with a cage and seat belts.

Again, you never sprayed 100% of a 150 shot out of the hole, all you're going to do is spin in a car like this. I doubt you could spray in 1st gear at all. I also highly doubt the other car you sprayed had a dual runner intake either.
In theory nitrous vaporizes into the air, however inside an intake manifold that was only designed to flow air not nitrous and air, that's seldom what happens. Do you know where and how your throttle bodys are positioned?
I guess when you slap a kit like this on a 70K motor you can spray out of the hole.

Real world? More like assumptions....
You wont spin on a drag radial/slick (which is exactly what Dad's runs)...how do you think 1000hp Vipers/Vettes/Ford GT's launch at the track and hook sub 1.6 60 ft.
It's not theory, its a scientific fact that nitrous vaporizes...otherwise modern motors would be blowing up all over the place and nitrous companies would be out of business
And yes, I, and thousands of racers have sprayed 150, and more, out of the bucket and hooked like jack the bear....
And, yes, my past car had an aftermarket dual runner intake
Congrats Dad's on those awesome numbers!

That said, I think with cool weather and a low 60-ft. time, this car can manage low 10's. So, I think your prediction will come true. I sure hope so, as I would love to see a low 10-sec C63. And who knows, maybe it can even go lower.
Dad's, your car is an inspiration to us all, I'm sure.

FR500 intake? You're still not taking into account where the TBs are on this motor.
Congrats Dad's on those awesome numbers!

Dads isn't spraying in 1st gear due to traction, he spins without nitrous on DRs. You do realize this is a 4000lb luxury sedan running on 265 rear tires right? This is not a Ford GT, Viper, Vette, etc. Ultimately these cars are tire limited and the suspension is (unless you go with a coilover kit) non adjustable.
I never stated DAD's would spray in first. I said that I have and 1000's of other cars out there. These cars are not tire limited and are running in the 9's and 10's all day on stock suspensions and drag radials. Have you ever seen a turbo car launch loaded up and on boost??? Very similar......Man....i wonder how they do that????
Yes I've seen that happen (cars blowing up all over the place), everytime I got to the track I see it happen actually. Fuel puddles/pools in modern EFI intake manifolds, sorry but I don't know what to tell you if you disagree, they weren't mean to flow fuel. Nitrous companies don't get blamed for motors blowing, it's always the end user, just like superchargers etc.
This a load of crap and completely made up. Everytime you go to the track you see a motor blow up because of nitrous?????![bs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bs.gif)
I guess you would know better than anyone there. Maybe you should start a class-action lawsuit against NOS and Nitrous Express
Being that he's not spraying at all in 1st gear because it's not a Ford GT, Viper, or Vette, good for you I guess? You were either on a bias ply slick in a drag car or it made no power without spray.
I was on a drag radial...kinda like every other street car at the track on the spray running 10's or low 11's...
Kinda like the 100's of videos posted on youtube...

And you sprayed through the runner change? Do you know where the TBs are on a 63 motor?
Yes i do. And so do all the guys that run spray on their 63's. There are kits actually made made for our motors....but i hope they all read your post so their motors dont blow up![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)
Agreed! If you care to further discuss let's do it via PM, no reason to ruin this thread.
