2011 C63 P31
Thanks Jean! I ended up buying my C63 from MB of Fresno. Everything was effortless about the purchase, including the 4 hour drive to Fresno (I rented a car).

It's funny, I test drove the M3 with DCT and ISF a few weeks ago, but ended up buying the C63 even though I only test drove one (meekily) a year an a half ago. Based on these forums and lots of reviews, I had a hunch that the C63 would be the most fun to drive in normal (i.e. non-track) conditions. And thankfully, I was right! The M3 and ISF can't touch the C63 when it comes to torque, and I have realized the importance of torque after driving the C63 and comparing it to the other two cars. I also test drove an Evora last month. That car handles well, but just doesn't want to go fast. The Ferrari must be a lot of fun to drive. That is an exhaust note to die for. My boss at work has a F430 that he let me drive once. Amazing car. I had been lusting for a Maserati Gran Turismo, but I just can't justify spending 100k on a used S model with less power and torque than our C63s. It does have the most intoxicating exhaust note though.

I got my C63 yesterday, so it will be a few days before I break her in. I have already driven almost 370 miles in two days, but that includes the 260 mile trip back home from Fresno. It is so hard to resist stepping on the gas with this car! I am glad you are enjoying your C63 as well. I love the Euro 19" wheels. Wish we could order them as options on US spec cars.

Give me a shout the next time you are in SoCal. We can have a mini C63 get together with your buddy .

Here are a couple of pictures of my new baby .

The details of the transaction as promised: 69.425k msrp - 16.85k discount = $52.5k + taxes/fees = around $58k. I paid cash, so no car payments or interest to worry about .

Color: Steel Gray Metallic
Options: P2/MM/AMG Seats/Teleaid(useless). The only option I wanted that it does not have is the rearview camera. The dealer was going to install it, but ended up giving me another $850 off on top of $16k. I think I'll just install the camera myself. Hard to turn down an almost $17K discount ($18.5K if you factor in the 10% CA taxes+fees!!) just because it didn't have a camera.

VMX128,

That's a beauty you got there, bro. I also wish I had a backup camera. Where do you buy that aftermarket accessory? I believe the backup camera would help save me or my wife from doing some potential curb rash or worse on the multispokes. I'm getting the badges placed back on my car and painless dent removal to the rear bonnet complimentary from
the dealer on Wednesday since they provide that service within 30 days of purchase. Sometimes it doesn't matter how careful you are about parking your car in good spaces, away from other cars. People will always seem to park next to a car tat they like. Someone apparently leaned on my bonnet while checking out the car, as I noted the dent with some rubbing away of dust around the dent. Oh well, I suppose they're only cars.

Driving home the c63 on the 5 must have been a blast at times. Once again, congrats on the new ride and paying cash for it!

vmx128, congrats on your new ride and welcome to the club. Now just don't forget to register your C63 in the owners trend .

Edit: I also totally agree with you on the C63, as I tested a MY2009 with no PP a year and a half ago, then end up buying my current ride sight unseen... cash. The Evora was also on my list too, but like the Mazda RX-8, it's a "momentum car", hence it normally don't go very fast but able to maintain higher speed in corners. But again, torque rules for daily driving and this was why I picked the C63 .

sheep, the capri blue looks amazing... never seen this colour, I don't think it's available in Canada either.

vmx, the steel gray is sick too... I've seen one in Montreal & almost pulled the trigger on it. But I already put a deposit in Ottawa for a white one at the time. Go enjoy the ride!!

Grats on the new car, I picked up the same Steel Gray with light Ash from Anaheim hills about two months ago. I have to say I love the car....

I know it is available in Canada goes by a different name for the color which I can't remember. However, Capri Blue is pretty rare and it took me over an year for dealer to have this color. Last time I check, there are 2 MY2011 C63 in Capri Blue, but none of them has the Sahara Beige interior. There is also a Quartz Blue C63 in Miami.

As far as I know I have the only MY2010 C63 with Capri Blue and Sahara Beige interior in the US, and I will be very happy to be proven wrong if someone has another Capri Blue C63 .

If anyone of you don't mind paying extra, you can actually order a C63 with ANY Mercedes-Benz color you want as long as you have the code, and it will be awesome if someone picked Orion Blue from the SLK series.

You can order a Kenwood CMOS-200 or CMOS-300 camera from ebay or any online retailer. Then purchase a Fakra adapter from mid city engineering and a RCA cable. There is a DIY section in the W204 forum that will walk you through the steps. Should cost you no more than 200 dollars.

Thanks Jeff. I got your PM and replied back. The Fresno dealer still has a 2010 Black with the following options (as of this Sunday). Call and ask for Gino Castillo and tell that a new C63 owner from Irvine referred you to him . He is a great guy. I'd ask for $17k off on the black car.

The best way to get a good deal is to be polite and straightforward. Tell them about the exact discount you are looking for. Don't ask for $20k off and then go down from there. Also tell them that if they offered the discount you want, you WILL buy the car and are ready to put a deposit on it over the phone. I asked for $16k plus free camera installation and stuck to it. The camera couldn't be installed the weekend I wanted to pick it up, and Gino was nice enough to mention that the dealer would just offer me what it was going to cost them ($850). So that's how I got the $16850 off. I know they could do a bit more, but the dealer and salesmen also needs to feed their kids.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the hook up with Brian. He is awesome! Just working out some numbers with the fiance, and debating the offer we received for a white one also. The biggest annoyance is that silly light tint and the pinstriping they want to charge me $1080. I'll let you know when I make a decision. Thanks again Jim!

Thanks for the advice! I've only been able to get as far as $16k off. I think that's a fair number in my books. It's just that it's quite annoying when I cut to the chase with some of these dealers by asking for their inventory of 2010 C63's that have been punched. They get quite defensive. I tell them that if the price is right and the options and colors are what I want, we can have a deal over the phone. I've come to the conclusion that some of these sales ppl don't like it when you know what they have and can offer. It gets them quite defensive. Thanks for the hook up on the black on in fresno, but it has two options too many that I don't want on it. I did call up the VA dealership for the black one, but the internet guy only wanted to offer me 15k off, which was their advertised price. He gave me an attitude like he was doing me a favor, even though I pointed out to him that anyone on their sales floor can offer that price to me, because it's their ADVERTISED PRICE. lol

Yup, very annoying. It was their floor car so they put that on. I bought my Silver from Brian, and it had the tints also.

My pleasure, hope it works out.

07 E63 AMG, 10 C63 AMG, 07 E63 Designo, 07 E350, 09 C300, 07 C230
I test drove a C63, back in May of 09, and fell instantly in love with it, but I didn't purchase it. Instead I went with a C300 for the practicality of it, with better MPG, etc. But I've always love the C63, I would see one on the road every so often. A friend of mine has one, and I love the burbling exhaust note, my E63 is somewhat restrained in that respect. Then, I was reading through a thread talking about trunk money. I didn't know what trunk money was. Once, I was enlightened, I immediately started making phone calls to all my local MB Dealerships. I called about 6 Dealerships, and no one was offereing it, until I remembered to call Euromotorcars of Bethesda, there an AMG Performance Center. I called and talked to Brian Butler, whom I've known from a previous MB Dealership, and he knew exactly what I was talking about. At that time they were offereing 12.5K off MSRP, "better than nothing at all" anyway they had (5) C63 in stock and several E63. But only one with Sahara Beige Leather in Obsidian Black Metallic. I really didn't want another black car, as I have had 5 previously. But this is what they had, and no other C63 in the Washington DC area had Sahara Beige Leather. So it was either accept the inventory they had or miss out, because they weren't going to get any more 2010, because 2011 stock was rolling in. Bottom line, you snoose you loose type of deal. A week later, I'm driving off the lot in my 2010 C63 Obsidian Black, with Beige Leather, P2, MM, keyless go for 54K with some money down to cover taxes, etc. And I'm happy as hell, this car is a hoot to drive. I like my E63, but I love my C63. I'm now an official 2 car AMG family. I wrote an email to MBUSA, telling them how happy, I was with my purchase of the C63. I few days letter, I get a call from one of the Managers at MBUSA, telling me that he has read my email, and was happy to hear that I'm thrilled about the C63. He says that he will be sending me a gift for being a loyal customer over the years having owned 5 Mercedes with two being AMGs. I received the box via FedEx last week, containing an AMG T-Shirt, not your traditional T-Shirt mind you, but like the UnderArmor type, gray and black in color with the AMG stripes, with AMG embossed on the lef tchest, and on the back of the neck. I was extremely surprised to get this nice gift. As this t-Shirt retails for $80 http://store.mbworld.org/product-p/b66957192.htm
Has anyone else received a White AMG booklet in the mail containing a letter signed by some Big Wig at Mercedes that said Congratulations on your AMG purchase? Also in this booklet was a pull out phamplet containing information about AMG, also a $100 gift card to Saks Fifth Avenue, an a DVD, of AMG Cars, engine, AMG History, AMG innovations. When I bought my 07 E63 I recieved one in the mail, but when I questioned this practice for my C63 I was told no, they stopped this. Imagine how surprised, I was to receive it. I've owned Bimmers over the years, but no other company has taken care of me in the way that Mercedes has. Thank you.

Steel Grey Metallic C63!!
Everyone!!! I'm sorry to keep this thread alive, but I will be picking up my 2010 Steel Grey Metallic C63 this weekend! If anyone is still looking for one, I have another one all negotiated and all ready to go. VMX knows which black on black C63 I am talking about. It's a little over 17k off and has all the options. (ie. p2, amg leather, multimedia, keyless go, teleaid).
