Dropped off the CL at dealer and came across 2 SL65 BS parked next to each other...
I just recently dropped off the CL at the dealership and saw 2 SL65 black series right next to each other, both in black. I have to say after seeing these in person i dont think ive ever seen a more aggressive/meaner looking car then the SL black series. I asked my brother as a joke if i could take it around for a spin, he said come by Saturday and we will. 
Now i cant wait for Saturday to come. Im also going to stop by at the shop were my headers are being built for my 63.

My brother has his connects.
And I don't consider going around the block once or twice joyriding. I consider going on the freeway and doing 100+ mph joyriding. If it was a regular SL63 or something that would be a different story, but were talking about a

If someone close to you worked at a Mercedes dealership, gave you the keys to a SL65 Black Series, and told you take it around the block once or twice, your telling me you wouldn't do it????

If you are EMPLOYED by the dealer and during the course of your employment you are required to perform a pre-delivery inspection, then NO, that would not be a joyride becasue it HAS TO BE DONE so the dealer can sell the car and know that there's nothing wrong with it - PRE DELIVERY - but that's NOT what you said your doing, IS IT ????

If my brother worked for a dealer and threw me the keys and said lets take it for a spin, I wouldn't do it...for a few reasons. First, becasue I know only certain people at dealers can take the SL BS for a "spin" and your brother is probably not one of them. Second, becasue my brother (if he were just a mechanic) wouldn't be so stupid to put his job in jeopardy and third becasue I've already driven one and don't see the point in wasting my time nor putting miles on a car that isn't mine. I guess I'm the only person in this thread with a sense of what's right and what's wrong

Well we sure as hell know that his brother isn't a manager of some sort... all he could say was that he has 'connections'.
I honestly doubt that car will move from the showroom..
