Opinions needed - CF Vent Covers - keep or toss?

Guys,

Just did a temp install of CF front bumper vent covers. I am on the fence as to whether to install these permant or just keep the OEM look to from vents. Sometime when I look at them it looks good and then at other times it looks to "busy". Not sure which way I will go yet...opinions (constructive please) solicited. The covers are not 100% flush as this was temp install and didn't want any issues if I decided to go without them.

Lose em. Looks too bulkey, and tacked on.. Much cleaner without.

I think they look awesome! I do see your point though. In the first pic it does look "busy" and kind of big.

I bought them and one week later took them out and sold. They looked too busy and didnt flow with the car.

They look a little big, if they were a little slimer, then I think it would work. I like the contrast of the CF Spoiler and the CF Vents. But I definitely think that this can work. Sleep on it, by the way where did you purchase thse from. PM me

I was on the fence too, but I would say leave them off. They do not look bad, but I think it looks cleaner without, especially when you have a CF hood too. Too much CF can kill the effect. That being said, to each their own.

my first thought was too bulky--others seem to agree, I'd lose 'em
I do like the OEM CLKBS ones, MB should have included this in the P31 if you ask me--would have gone with the CF trunk lid

i dont own a C63 but i have made a cutom one off bumper for my W208 CLK that includes the C63 vents and what I'm doing is just wrapping the two Fins in carbon fiber and leaving the rest of the vent the color of the car. I think that would look very nice on yours and it would flow beeter with the CF lip. Just an idea but your car looks great.

The last picture makes them look nice, but other than that, they are way to bulky like everybody said.

I am a total CF fan, however I am with the majority. Unless the Vent is wrapped the look is way to bulky.. They really ruin the entire streamlined effect of the front bumber and fascia.

I'd lose them, too much CF on the front half of the car. And like everyone else has already mentioned, they're too obviously tacked on and stick out like a sore thumb.

Lose them. 2 busy

You should install the black top part of the grill from your old hood. If I recall correctly it's just two screws?
It really messes up the look of the CF hood.

IMHO, they only look good on cars without the reflectors.

David, since you have the Cf theme going & your car is black... it doesn't look too bad. I'm sure it will grow on you. I'd say rock them until you get tired of the CF look, and sell them later. :P

Hey Matt, agree. Just haven't got around to it. Will get to this sometime this week.

Guys,
Thanks for all the feedback. As I stated in original post, they just didn't seem right to me when I did install and I have decided not to install them. I have come up with another solution to accent the vents without comprimising the look/flow of the car. Will post solution in couple of week. If anyone wants vents, they are yours for $80 + shipping. Thanks again for the feedback.
