DCTMOTORSPORTS front spoiler review/feedback
Well,
I ordered my Arkym front spoiler from DCTmotorsports the Saturday before the SEMA show and I got it like 3 days ago(fairly fast). The box was very well packed and there was way too much bubble wrap so I guess that is good.
For those of you guessing, this spoiler is actually very shallow, I would say just about 1" or maybe less and contrary to my thoughts it does clear my garage ramp which was my number one concern.
The shape of the spoiler is exactly the shape of the bumper, if I have to guess they probably used some sort of molding because it fits right up.
- Installation. I knew right of way my plan before the install. I had a heavy duty double side tape roll from ACE harware stores and I use it to secure the spoiler to the bumper. Additionally I used 7 self taping screws(like 3/4 inch long) with 7 washers(1" diameter" so that it would grab plenty of surface.
It took me like 5-10 minutes to do the install. You can actually take one step further and do what I did and drill a couple of extra holes(one of each side of the bumper) and screw a couple of screws to give more support.
- Looks. This thing looks very bad a-ss with the flat back paint, it actually looks like it belongs to the car, not tacky at all.
- Quality. I thought that this thing was made of rubber or flexible plastic but neither or, it is made of some sort of fiberglass so it is very solid.
- Price. I think I paid like $475 or $495 shipped (can't remember), awesome deal considering the quality and the looks that you get. From experience, sending such a large box on the mail cost a lot so I think the vendor did a heck of a job with the price considering that a good portion of the cost is just from shipping costs.

- One was my garage ramp. I was willing to pay someone to redo my ramp. Secondly there is a 8" high speed bump where I work and it clear them both fine.
This spoiler does the job, it is very shallow.

What was the total time from order to shipped to your door? I have another question also. Their website says the kit does not need you to remove the OEM. Does that include the rear diffuser?

I might go back and look at the shipping documents and my received e-mail and track down that info.

I think like 8 days but keep in mind that this happened while the guys were going to SEMA show. For the price that you pay you normally get these shipments ground so I don't think it was that bad. I ordered on a Saturday and got here like 8 days later. I am not sure where it comes from but I thought they came in from China or the Asian market.

As for shipment, you would be surprised how fast parts can be shipped from Asia to US... it sometimes faster. For example, it only took 3 days for me to received my CF seats covers from Taiwan.
