Like you said, broken axle. I'm shopping for a new axle now. So far, I'm looking at $1K in parts and labor. If you and Haji didn't come through for me, would have been a lot more time and $$$. A big Thanks!!! to both of you.
And I did get to 12.42 which is #3 overall for all C32s. Not bad for a 3.2 litter SC V6.
And to Jon, I think you may have finally got it. It's you. You do need some more practice. Remember, this is not braket racing. Don't worry about your reaction time. Right now it's all about your 60' time. Then you will see what your car is capable of.

That just shows the kind of classy guy you are. Not many (if any) would even bring it up in public or in private. I'm not mad at you at all. You gave me a sound technical advise and I followed it. I don't think I can be pushed into anything (unless I'm alone with a young ****). I'm actually very happy that I got to know you and Hagi. And it's not the track records. It's the way you carry youself when not running your car. True leader.
I'll be back next year. You can count on it.

Jon...If you ever get a chance to re-read this thread, no one here was attacking your car or the power it made. You just need to calm down and relax yourself. Focus on getting that 11.6 and not antagonizing ppl on this forum. Jim made nice with you and even supported your quest for 11.6, but how did you repay his kindness? "I BEAT HIS *** ALL SUNDAY!" If you haven't learned by now, that's not exactly how to make friends. Just focus on your and calm down on your
Another ironic side to all of this is that he was also arguing about oldgixxer's 11.9 second stock run in his E63, which was ran at the same track with similar conditions. Not only did he not come close to oldgixxer's record.... but oldgixxer actually cut a better 60' time on sh*ty continental stock street tires using a heavier (and allegedly slower) car than Jon did on drag radials
He may need to get a baby seat to match oldgixxer's record on street tires

Actually, I think blackbenz is correct: it is likely the car + his driving. I've seen many C63 launch at 2000 rpm fine with no bog at all. I've even launched my E63 at those speeds and got no bog (got wheel spin but no bog).

Lol Mo,maybe oldgixxer has the true "factory freak" or is just a more experienced driver...the other E63 that was there w him that day&ran back to back after his 11.9 run only managed 12.1@116 w a similiar 60'.

aww come on w the excuses...why bother going to a track rental if all your concerned with is rolls?Too many variables w a roll to get a clean run...one car jumped, one car left on the 2nd honk etc etc etc;line up from the dig w a flagman&RUN!!!!! Then its a true race IMO.
And BTW,you never replied to my PM about your car vs my GSXR-600..I was giving you 5 car lengths&the break if you forgot..I had it at MIR saturday, its not that fast&I think it'd be a good run

You're gonna wake up that early on Sunday? I think the only way that you'll be there that early on Sunday is if you camp out in the parking lot after work!!!!

Great to hear you beat your personal best Lenin! Your were running so consistent that day. Good job! Nice meeting you as well!

Oldgixxer's run was actually at 45 F and some of your first runs (on street tires) were at 50 F, so conditions were similar early on in the day. Apparently your first few runs on street tires ranged from 12.4 to 13.1 and you didn't get into the 12.1s until things started to warm up. But notice that even when temps did warm up a little (near 60-65 F), conditions actually gave you the advantage NOT to oldgixxer in terms 60' time (even on street tires) since generally speaking 60 F environment causes the VHT to stick much better than in 40 F environment. In addition to the more sticky surface, you had yet advantage (again in terms of 60') when you started using DR (later in the day). However, with all those advantages on your side, you STILL DID NOT BEAT his 60' time. So lets see.... you had the following advantages:
1) You ran in 50 F to 63 F temps, which are about 10 to 15 F warmer than temps during oldgixxer's run but it actually favors traction because it allows the VHT stick much more than in 40 F.
2) You tried drag radials many times but only got one run in the 11s and even on that run, you didn't beat his 60' time. The rest of the runs were all over 12 seconds.
3) You had a lighter car (and lighter driver) with a fairly aggressive tune (meaning more power than even a stock E63) yet you still did NOT beat his 60' time and could only beat his ET record using drag radials.
Do you think in 40 F or even 35 F, you could still cut a better 60' time and better 1/4 mile run on stock tires, filters, etc... ? I have a feeling that if oldgixxer was indeed at ATCO, he would've annihilate you run after run (at least for most of the day).

Wow.... so now you're saying the temp difference was why you couldn't beat his 60' time?

I've noticed some E63's can cut 1.7's on stock tires, definitely 1.8's. So, what's the deal? Why can't tuned C63's do the same thing?
