Air Con Stinks!!! help is needed
Hi Guys
My c63 currently is having a very bad smell coming from the air con whenever I first start the car. Especially on a hot day like it is in Australia. Has anyone had a similar experience? If so, what would be the solution.
Merc Syd just sprayed so much disinfectant in it, I almost died on the wheel, and once that smell left, its now the same.
I had a B service there and they changed the pollen filter for me, but that didn't do anything.
Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated =)
Cheers

Klima might or might not solve the problem; I recommend taking it to the dealer if it's still under warranty (ask for the foam treatment).
It's a very common problem especially for humid areas... my experience.

Same thing happened to mine, I took it to my dealer, they fixed it for free... only thing I smell now is 'fear' from the other drivers around me

Another option is that if you keep the aircon on recirculate mode, water can get trapped in the system leaving a lovely wet towel smell, try switching off recirculate mode a min or so before you turn off the car to allow the water to drain out. I had this problem with my wifes Inifniti as well.

A point of clarity for those who haven't used Klima-Cleaner. It is a foaming treatment. I've used it in my M5 and my Pickup. Both times it solved the "musty odor" problem.
You can read about how the product is applied here -> http://www.1z-usa.com/klima-cleaner_application.html
