Yep, I see that. Good catch. Well, then who knows what all these mods do.
I am planning to do the last and final dyno run tomorrow. I guess we'll see.

I am going to the shop next to me (Vettech). NRG is too far out. Dyno in this case wont be that important, the real world shows I gained.

Jon, try taking out your charcoals, you should be able to do this without CEL. That should make a difference uptop.

So is this another new place? Last question I no I'm annoying! What is the dyno going to prove your car seems to be performing better is the dyno worth the money.. Only reason I ask is cause I don't use them??

No it is the same one that I used before. That is where I dynoed 424 before and 409 after the Kleemann headers if you recall. I did 3 dynos there already.

Not looking to prove anything, just curiosity, also want to measure AFRs as well. Not worth the money, though, that is why last one and I am done with these dynos.
If I dyno low, I will gut the whole exhaust out and go with LTs (just kidding)

Latest update:

I removed Kleeman headers and cats and put back stock manifolds + primary cat delete, did the dyno this morning:

435 rwhp SAE, (457 uncorrected), mods: Kleeman ECU, K&N, charcoal delete, ROW airboxes, primary cat delete

409 rwhp SAE, mods: Kleeman headers+hfcats, OEtune, K&N, charcoal delete, TTM airboxes
395 rwhp SAE, modes: Kleeman headers+hfcats, Kleeman ECU, K&N, charcoal delete, stock airboxes

It is over 26hp difference. So after removing Kleemann headers+cats and putting back stock manifolds (with primary cat delete) yielded a gain of ~ 26hp comparing to 409, and ~40hp over 395 run.

It is about ~10hp gain from my baseline (@424 SAE) without Kleemann headers:

OEtune, K&N, charcoal delete, TTM airbox mod: @424 RWHP.

So overall: Kleeman ECU/OEtune, K&N, charcoal delete, ROW airboxes, primary cat delete should yield anywhere from 25-40 rwhp

2017 AMG C43
This may be a silly question. Why does an E63 gain more once it's tuned than a C63?
I know they start with more power initially (386kw compared to 336kw) but aren't they the same engine just the C63 is detuned at the factory.
I would of thought they would be similar in power after tuning.
DMS Automotive claim
C63 tuned 366kw
E63 tuned 411kw

where did you get those figures from? i believe once exhausts are fitted both cars put out the same hp when tuned aswell

i wonder what software they use. Have a search on here, and you will see many tuners actually make the same power as e63s with the c63s. Interesting why DMS quote such a low figure. It must be a just a slight enhancement then.

Kind of rich, K1 seems to run much richer than oetune. The wot afr topped out at 11.9 vs 12.9 for oetune. Not sure which one is more optimal. Could this be the reason why oetune makes more power than K1? Simply leaner AFR @ WOT?

What's impotrtant to stay mindful is that stock 63 tunes will vary a good deal in the AFR. It depends on many factors and I have been told by competing tuners that stock C63 AFR can even dip as low as into the 10's.

Aftermarket tunes leave a good deal of adaptation capabilities in the ECU. They do, however, set the maps so that ur car advances what has been pre-set (i.e., commanded) on demand.

An example: u have a stock C63. Stock tune. U fill up with crappy gas (91 octane but its poor quality on this day). In addition, its hot outside (100 degrees F). Ur ECU may pull timing and dump some extra fuel. In this case ur AFR may be rich. Ur ECU did this as a precaution.

Contrast above with an aftermarket tuned C63. As stated above, once u get tuned, u have a greater responsibility as a driver than u did when u were stock, because ur ECU's "nanny controls" are no longer functioning at full strength.

That means, u will have less variation in ur AFR, but that's entirely dependent on the quality of gas in ur tank and IAT's. With these aftermarket tunes, ur torque management is reduced and the car is set to run hard, on demand, always.

That's good and bad. Its good because ur carmakes more power more consistently, but if u get hit with bad gas and u don't hear things like knock or detonation, u could be running ur car at an AFR that is too lean for ur quality of octane.

I think data loggers are key once u get tuned.

And of course I'm a little more paranoid than the average person.
