Personally, I love it. It's muted in my opinion. It's really all business.

It's classy enough for me. I mean it's a C class, but still a MB.

For me, the engine defines this car. It's not even a MB engine. At all. So, I wouldn't want the interior to be very plush. It would take away from the raw nature of the AMG race engine making all that beautiful noise.

I love the seats. So nice. I love the leather too.

But, MB designers really, really, missed the boat with the pop-up NAV/radio screen. It's just very sloppy.

I generally agree with the pig, but my biggest gripe was (and is with all MBs) the nav / music / etc. interface format. Command is at least three to five years behind Sync, and with all due respect to Ford & Microsoft, Mercedes Benz should be blowing them out of the water.

Can't beat an AMG engine, and the car itself is pretty stellar all around. But freaking Command. Grr.

I think the interior is indeed too much plastic, but it's a bit more durable and weatherproof than leather in the end.

I like the inside of the doors with the leather and finger grips and I don't mind the center console.

I don't like the sound system and I think they could of used a thicker, more durable leather like BMW. I know its supposed to be Nappa and soft, but this car needs a thicker leather seat.

Love how the seats are designed and shaped.
I really like the bolsters, they dont bother me.

I kind of like the James Bond Navigation screen. Flips up and down when you don't need it glaring at you.

I wish the steering wheel was placed better and it got out of your way more when you are trying to get out.

'09 t0 '10 is a big leap in terms of software and user updates.

Wish the side mirrors folded in.

All in all not bad. I like it better than BMW.

Agree with most.
The sound system needs a bit more bass and if you do a search, adding a sub can be done to remediate that problem for as low as $300.
There are plastic parts in the C that do not belong there (but they are in the E as well) like the door pins but they can be changed as well.
It is too bad that the US cannot get the designo options of wrapping the dash in leather. For $65K base, you can't expect the same treatment as a lambo.
I give the interior a solid B- but it could be a better like the Audi RS5. I feel we are on the same par on the Ms overall.
The Sat Nav is not that bad. I agree the 2010 have a much better interface and the 08/09s fall a bit behind but again little flaws that do not ruin the AMG experience.
if you are not a tall and heavy guy, you should love the seats and the bolsters. I had an M3, S4, 997S and C5 and by far, our seats are among the best of the best. Easily as good as the Italian supercars except for the thickness of the leather.
The dash is well laid out and gives you the information you need. I like the wheel with the flat bottom and the buttons are well laid out. (you have to read the manual to know the phone buttons work for your ipod but that means less clutter). The paddle shifts have a very good metal feel.

I've test driven the car and a month ago ordered it with the p31. But you know how it is when you see the car for the first time....everything just looks perfect. With what you guys are saying, possible rating of 7.5 out of 10?

I'm 5'5'' female, so I was really wrapped up in the seat. What I don't understand is the door pins...Why are so many people having problems with them?

The door pins are plastic and do not belong in a Mercedes Benz imo.

Oh and nevermind the sound system because I just remembered I upgraded to Harmon and Kardon. Did a search and no one seemed to complain about it

There are no engineering issues with the pins. They are cheap plastic, they look that they cost 2 cents and no one cared about doing a mold that would make the pins look good.
I have the HK upgraded sound and it is still lacking bass. Now you don't have to do what I did (add a 12inch sub with a 700 watt amp) but others have added a smaller one for about $300 and it makes a HUGE difference.

The interior is quite plasticky, but the beautiful steering wheel and AMG leather seats make up for it to an extent.

I have also noticed that there are a few rattles/squeaks in the cabin, which really take away from the "solid" feel that you expect from a MB. Other people in the forum have reported the same rattles that I get. Nothing too crazy, but annoying nonetheless. I had to take my car to the dealer to have a couple of the rattles (near the door speaker and rearview mirror) fixed. They put felt around the door speaker and replaced the entire rearview mirror assembly! Now I occasionally hear a squeak from the dash near the drivers side. I have decided to give up on the annoying squeaks and rattles and just live with it.

Other than that, I love this car. It's not a luxurious cruiser, but it has what it takes to put a smile on my face .

Upgraded Harmon Kardon? I guess I was under the impression that it was standard.

I do know that from '09 to '10 the sound is SIGNIFIGANTLY improved. I think they added more bass. It sounds deeper and richer. I remember HATING the '09 sound system.

I do have to admit that I do need to read the manual better because I have been lazy about the iphone thing. All I have is blue tooth and then look at my phone to see whose calling. As far as music, I just slap an old ipod into the dash and it works great. The names of the songs appear and I am able to forward through the song and everything.

Do becareful though, too much bass will potentially loosen up plastic pieces and you will hear a vibration sooner than later.

For some reason the other day when I turned the car on, the navigation screen wouldn't open. I pushed all the buttons and everything, no go. Then after parking and restarting from a couple visits, it finally opened up. Wierd...

You're absolutely right about the Harmon Kardon being standard on the Multimedia Package. I missed the part where you talked about the Nav. Sorry!

The seats are fine in the driving position. If you try to recline them to rest, it'll put you into a very uncomfortable position.

My only complaint with the interior is the slight wear on the drivers seat door side bolster from getting in and out of the car. Overall, I absolutely love the interior. As far as the sound system-nothing sounds better than the music from under the hood.

Considering that the C63 is the entry level AMG, the interior isn't bad in my opinion. I just wish that AMG would have installed a alcantara headliner. I wish that they used the quality materials found in my 07 E63. But it is what it is. But I certainly love the exterior looks of it.
