Hey guys,

I got my front emblem (star) stolen about a month ago. I ordered one from my MB dealer. A few days ago I try to install it and notice it's too big and won't fit (diameter is about half an inch too big).

Part number they gave me:

207 817 00 16 Emblem - C300, c350 Sport (no mention of C63)

Searching parts.com with no results. Can anyone help? What would be the correct part number.

I think the part number for a C63 is A 163 888 00 86.

I just came back from the dealer, disappointed. They pulled out the #A 163 888 00 86 emblem and it does not fit. The fitment pattern is the same but again its too big. I'm starting to wonder if the canadian models (same as german) do not have the same grill or emblem.

The stealership told me I had to get a full grill for $560. "It's an AMG, everything costs more" they said.

I'm looking into alternatives, anybody here has a stock grill or emblem for sale? My 2nd option is to go aftermarket, with no star...

Thanks. I checked it but why am I not certain this includes the emblem? Maybe its the drawing. The emblemless grill still has a black plastic star. Maybe they don't show it. The price looks good at 300$!

I called and spoke to Tommy - according to him it has the star, but I was unsure as well. Unfortunately I cancelled my order bc my body shop said they could paint mine and hav it back on same day.

I cant imagine they could sell a grill without an emblem that fits(that u can get).

The C63 and AMG emblems are 71 and 50 dollars, respectively, whereas the star emblem is 7.50?

 

Ok it makes sense. thanks for the info! I looked at aftermarket grills but they are $$$, does anyone sell a nice black grill (matte or not) under 500$? I searched a little without much success. Trying to find one with no star if possible. The revozsport one was ok but at 800$ is steep. Not a huge fan of carbon fiber grills (anyway they are 1000$).

I checked for replica grills (one piece all black grills) but all these are C63 "style" grills meant for the C300 and C350...

My option remains to buy the 300$ grill but I'm wondering what I'll do if it gets busted again. I have a private garage but at my office its an outdoor parking. I guess I'll give it a shot this summer. For now my 2 center grills are matte black and there is still the plastic star that holds the emblem so unless you're really close to the car it looks badass!

Just be careful with aftermkt grills for the regular c, it looks like they don't have the top trim piece that attaches to our hood
