Evosport intake manifold spacer installed :PICS:
Installed the Evosport intake manifold spacer kit yesterday. I wanted to have less heat build up in the engine and reduce air intake temp. My buddy did the work and it was pretty straight forward. The kit came with 2 gaskets and the 2 spacers. I purchased 2 more gaskets and longer bolts.
After removing the manifold we discarded to old gasket and put in the spacers along with the new gaskets. so its basically gasket+spacer+gasket, all of the parts were applied with a layer of sealant so I don't run into and leaks.

I doubt ill see any hp gains but I would imagine it would give out more efficient power becuase of the decreased temps.

Nice project. Interesting to see how much IATs improve. Might get you some timing back if they come down some.

There are two tabs on the bottom. After you pop those out the rear airbox comes right up.

Hey , Just wondering if you gained any HP increase.
When I did some research , other manufacturer were saying, reduced in
IAT will gain 3 degree timing resulting in HP gain .
What do you think ?
Also How do you remove the intake manifold? I think my car needs to have the
intake gasket checked.

I thought the OEM Intake bolts were aluminum and yield to torque? I am not sure dissimilar metals would give you a problem for this application as there should not be much moisture to cause any galvanic action. The torque is porbably pretty low but a drop of loctite should keep the bolts from loosening.
