AMG 19" wheel + tire weight

This is for those who are interested in wheel weights. I swapped out my stock 19" rims for the Advan F15 today. Managed to weigh the stock wheels with tires on them:

Front: 23kg (51 lbs) with 235/35/19 tire
Rear: 24.5kg (54 lbs) with 255/30/19 tire

Here are the weights for the F15:

Front: 19kg (42 lbs) with 235/35/19 tire
Rear: 21kg (46 lbs) with 275/30/19 tire

Not only do I get wider rear tires with the F15, there's an overall weight reduction of 15kg (33lbs)!

Many thanks to Arj for making this possible!

I've edited my original post to include the weights in lbs. Indeed the stock 19" rims are heavy!

Again, don't see your point either as we Canadians, like the rest of the world already know this.

I'm too lazy to convert and I'm glad he now listed both. So these F15s frts are around 22 lbs?

Lol - laziness for the win! That'd be a good guess but hard to say since he didn't mention an exact weight for just the tires. Either way, he managed to shave a decent amount of unsprung weight with just a wheel swap.

+1

tailhappysg, what tires on both and how many miles on the old tires?

I'm also curious as to what the offsets are on the F15s.

I'd like to add the info here -> https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ht-thread.html

Thanks!

All AMG wheels are forged.

Extra weight for more strength.

The 19s were about 5lbs or so heavier than my TSW 19s if I remember correctly.
