Actually the cost savings on a prius sucks. You can get the same fuel economy out of a Corolla and pay about 10K less for the car. By the time you see the cost savings on fuel after the 10K you would have sold the car. Prius's are for the tree huggers so they can not pollute the earth. Thats why all the famous people drive them.

so true! i remember reading an article showing that the Toyota Prius is worse for the environment than the H1 Hummer. Epic stuff. Damn tree huggersOriginally Posted by I am Jeff
Another mythical fairly tail that these hybrid lovers are spewing out of their mouths. Hybrids don't save enough $$ to make any financial sense. That's been confirmed! The popular belief that hybrids help the environment is another concept that is filled with false hopes. The batteries in hybrids require precious metals that are mined in China or Canada, then sent to Europe to be refined, then in turn sent to Japan for installation into the cars and finally sent to whereever they are sold causes far greater environmental damages then a 6.2 liter MB engine. http://greenliving.lovetoknow.com/Hy...nmental_Impact

A Ferrari or Lamborghini isn't a typical commuter car and is for pleasure. The C63 is a great daily driver.
Well my car is a commuter/pleasure/weekend/daily/barn burner
I just had to instigate this a little bit...LOL

I have never driven a Ferrari - I have only been a passanger in a Testarossa. I find the C63 better in comfort and at is quite simular in speeds... I also prefer the sound of the C63 over the screaming Ferrari.Originally Posted by _AMG_

So for me - it is a pleasure car.
If you combine the C63 to fx. 220 CDI you will easily see my point. The 220 cdi runs about 20-22 km/l and the C63 goes around 10 km/L when driving boring.

I would really love if that could be the same for me. But with 50 km each way to work - and in the fure 125 km each way, the C63 will be using alot of fuel combined with fx. a smaller 4 cylinder diesel engine. Originally Posted by Yuille36

If I did'nt have that long to my work - I would go for the C63 every day

I have a 50 miles round trip commute to work and back. Not that bad of a drive really!!

That's like saying the M3, M5, M6 aren't commuter cars. Of course they are, albeit faster ones, but still DD's.Originally Posted by kJERUM

- they gave me a C300 (not fun to drive btw coming from a C63) and it had 4k miles on it only -
whoever had it before me must have had some fun in it because the car was already rattling when idling.

Thanks for sharing........ Not surprised to hear that supply & demand isn't the main reason of increasing oil price... Once again the big banks at their best

Thank u, I've always made this argument. Hybrids aren't made out nowhere, they require raw materials/natural resources that are finite in supply. If the ratio of gasoline to hybrid cars were reverse, we'd all be complaining about the constantly rising cost of li-ion batteries. It's a population growth/emerging 3rd world development therefore supply and demand issue as for these nonrenewable resources. oh and also price gouging, amazing how some event in the middle east overnight causes gas pump prices to rise in the morning, c'mon.Originally Posted by I am Jeff
