Pilot Super Sports
Has anyone tried the new Mchelin Pilot Super Sport tires on their C63 yet? I just replaced my tires a few weeks ago, but after seeing that these tires come with a 30K (15K for us due to staggered sizing) treadwear warranty I might get them in a few months when my rears are gone. I don't think there is a member on here that has gotten 15K miles out or a set of rear tires.

I had a sponsorship opportunity from Michelin for these exact tires but decided to go with Nitto NT-01 race tires. The Michelin Super Sport are supposed to be very good street/track tires for the C63 but having raced Potenza RE-11s (very similar), they are excellent street tires but not quite race tires. Still on the street they are plenty good and much better than the stock Pzero I had.
The C63 is very heavy and you'll notice that anything less than R compound will be good but not great. If I had to name the biggest flaw of the C63 would be the maximum tire width you can put in. This car should be able to have 300mm+ tires

Possibly a comparison thread this summer? It just might happen.

I just ordered these tires in 245s / 275s. Will get them on late next week and let you guys know what I think. I'm used to PS2s so if they're close to the same performance and have the 15k warranty i think they'll be a real winner. Tirerack says they're stock on the Ferrari 599.

I've been waiting for these tires to come out as well, love my PS2's.
Looking forward to hearing your opinion on them.

Sure I'll let you know. I was hesitating between the Hoosier R6 and Nittos. The Hoosiers are the best hands down but they last 1-2 lapping days. I want good tires but if I got thru a 6+ sets of tires over the summer that's a bit much.
