Has anyone tried the new Mchelin Pilot Super Sport tires on their C63 yet? I just replaced my tires a few weeks ago, but after seeing that these tires come with a 30K (15K for us due to staggered sizing) treadwear warranty I might get them in a few months when my rears are gone. I don't think there is a member on here that has gotten 15K miles out or a set of rear tires.

They look like great tires. Tire rack claims they out perform the PS2's while having longer tread life.

That's OK, my rears should at least make it till then... That is unless I can't stay off the gas after picking up my car with newly installed MBH headers and matching tune this afternoon.

I had a sponsorship opportunity from Michelin for these exact tires but decided to go with Nitto NT-01 race tires. The Michelin Super Sport are supposed to be very good street/track tires for the C63 but having raced Potenza RE-11s (very similar), they are excellent street tires but not quite race tires. Still on the street they are plenty good and much better than the stock Pzero I had.

The C63 is very heavy and you'll notice that anything less than R compound will be good but not great. If I had to name the biggest flaw of the C63 would be the maximum tire width you can put in. This car should be able to have 300mm+ tires

I know the feeling.

Actually, I'm more interested on your thoughts regarding the tune
because the headers, I have.

Hopefully, you have before and after dyno numbers.

Let me know how you like the Nittos. This summer Keith is running R6s and I have Z214s on the way. We'll soon see at Road Atlanta how much better they may be than the R888s

Sure I'll let you know. I was hesitating between the Hoosier R6 and Nittos. The Hoosiers are the best hands down but they last 1-2 lapping days. I want good tires but if I got thru a 6+ sets of tires over the summer that's a bit much.

Possibly a comparison thread this summer? It just might happen.

I just ordered these tires in 245s / 275s. Will get them on late next week and let you guys know what I think. I'm used to PS2s so if they're close to the same performance and have the 15k warranty i think they'll be a real winner. Tirerack says they're stock on the Ferrari 599.

On what size wheels?

I've been waiting for these tires to come out as well, love my PS2's.

Looking forward to hearing your opinion on them.

Actually, the Michelin Pilot Supersports are the stock tire for the Limited edition GTO and are now an option on spec'ing new 458 Italia's.

I'm looking forward to comparison tests with the supersports.

So are you and Keith only getting 6 - 8 heat cycles out of the R6s?
