. C63s and M3s are pretty common though.Speaking of which I live in one of the nicer apartment complex in Newport and there was a Ferrari 458 Italia parked out here on Saturday morning. I was seriously wondering who the hell owned that car.

There are a lot of areas like Newport in LA. Palos Verdes is full of rich ppl too. Marina Del Rey is another, Malibu...etc
Is it me or do I see a trend? All the coastal cities?

So true!

It's a great complex, but renting an apt and driving a $100k car isn't impressive.
The cost of living in OC is MUCH cheaper than LA, that's why you see lots of "nicer" cars there.

I know arctichaze. Don't think it was him
.Apartments in the Village and Park complexes rent for $1500-1600+.

the thing that gets me about Irvine is that there are tons of nice condos, town homes, single family residences in the area that aren't expensive (they're like 400k - 500k), but when you look at the apartment complexes you'll see all these nice cars that just don't seem to belong.

LOL Phil- not even close to 1k for the Village- a studio is at 1500 right now maybe even more. One beddies are close to 2k but it all depends on when you rent and how you negotiate. So yes you can score but its all like business; it depends

Much? really- whats the average cost of housing in LA... Do you really think there are nicer cars in OC because of cheaper housing

Lets take a trip to Newport or Corona del Mar sometime. Boy all those nice cars and such cheap homes.
Have thought that its because there are richer parents...

I was looking at homes this week and to be honest, I was a little jaded. For my price range, in Beverly Hills, I would get a complete dump (1800 - 2000 sq. ft. off some beaten road). But, in OC, I could get a pretty nice place in Newport or Corona Del Mar.
I think a better example are the condos, look at The Plaza in Irvine, they're not that much, but put that in Marina Del Rey or Century City, etc. and they'll be double the price.
I just thought people were more douchey
For some W-2 working stiff making about $70K a year, that leaves plenty for the most important accesory, a fine automobile. Apparently, many people have subscribed to this douche-bag way of living in the Orange Curtain.
