That is completely opposite of what all the experts are speculating so that should tell you what most of the guys commenting on this thread know about anything let alone my car. The car is going back on the dyno this week to test out some new pulleys. When Steve gives it his nod of approval we are heading back to the strip. The only issue we had at the strip a few weeks ago was some pilot error and the pulleys, I put together a couple clean 1/8 mile passes and a couple good back half passes I just never put together a clean complete pass and thet is 100% on me and the pulleys. I can sit here and make excuses and even post up a bunch of slips showing great 60s with good front half times and a slip with a great back half time with a crappy 60 and we could play "what if" and Mr Potatoe Head peicing together slips saying if I coulda run this 60 with that 1/8th and another back half it would have been a 10.??? But why even trry yo live in fantasy land. I am disapointed that the pulleys broke and disappointed in my driving on a couple other passes but I am happy with the way the car was running, I did not see anything that would make me question any of the work Weistec has done or their product, I am completely happy with the performance and power it makes.
Ok so here's my question. If the car shifts in auto just fine how could you not make a single clean pass? There's video of you making a complete pass albeit with a short shift (manual mode) and running 11s@126.

How can you be disappointed in your driving if the car is shifting itself, it's not a stick car?

If you were in manual and didn't have time to acclimate your shifting to the rate at which the tach climbed it makes sense, but in auto?

FWIW, I don't see anyone blaming weistec for anything as by their own post they are still working on your car.

Ecampbell: You said the car now makes 550WHP. What did it make with your old mods from Hennessey?

I would likely have my car back out west to enjoy the testing but as I am on the other side of the world and a different hemisphere I will let Jim be the test bed and at some point in June or July I will jump in.
The members of this forum weren't claiming they were expecting cart to break any records his first time out so I really don't know where you're coming from. Before Weistec's post on the matter in which they admit they are still working on things there was a distinct lack of information about the project in general.

Could you do everyone a favor and post your dyno graph and full mod list. You making 550rw with 5psi on 91 octane (what mods?) vs race gas, full exhaust, more boost, ported heads, sls cams, in trunk cooler at 573rw doesn't seem to make much sense. Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks

First - Maverick sorry for the hijack!

Your Andy from MHP correct? I didn't make any reference about breaking a record - "where are you coming from"?

Can't wait to see the result!

Does Weistec over write all the MHP map? Or just adding some portion which Weistec thinks needed?

Sorry, Ben, Hijack your thread! Will send PM separately!

No I'm not, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I talk to Andy but I think it goes without saying that if he were on this forum it would probably be a matter of minutes before he was banned.

Aside from that MHP carries tuning for and the Weistec kits. He has nothing but good to say about Rod and Steve.

Where am I coming from? I and about 100 others would like to see your claimed 550rwhp dyno graph with 5psi and cali 91 octane. Also the rest of your mod list. Why is that so hard to provide? Seems like you're reluctant for some reason which just doesn't make any sense.

Thanks

I have no desire to post a mod list or a dyno slip. I know what the car makes, several people have seen the dyno run so in the end I have nothing to prove.

I am sorry if that is not the answer you want but my car, my money, my decision....please respect it.

That's a great decision but in my opinion, this being a learning place don't go saying this and that then not sharing something? I mean it's silly if you don't want to share don't share anything?

No point being part of this website and post anything then. Why open your mouth at all and start typing. Keep your useless information to your self.

I have shared in general what has been done and there are a number of people who know what has been done to the car. I was not the one who originally posted the HP my car puts out and didn't really want the attention that would bring...

No, it's not. Way better than OEM, truly works of art!
Look at black wrinkle finish, and machining on the bolts and sides.
Can you spot the small M156 silver letter stamped on front?

You could have your whole topside motor in that same wrinkle finish at any good powdercoating shop for a couple hundo. The unit shows really nice no doubt but I can't say its anything profound compared to similar whipple, magnesun, kenne bell, etc. twinscrew systems. Fit and finish on this should be perfect, its an MB and costs an arm and a leg. Its nice though.

h.
He has posted on several threads what has been done to his car in detail, just because he doesn't want to get down with all the mudslinging in this thread you should not call his post useless information. He's got the same stuff the majority of 63 owners who mod their cars has, longtubes, intake and a tune and if I recall he posted he removed his cats. Common sense would tell you that he was probably making in the range of 460 to 470 rwhp pre SC just like most of the other 63s with similar mods...but then again there seems to be a lack of common sense being used in this thread. Some of you guys are so quick to attack and in doing so it makes you look ignorant because. Some of the stuff you are asking is about as easy to answer as what's 2 + 2?

No somebody start a new thread since Mavericks thread got hijacked. I'm done hijacking on his thread and the rest of you should follow suit.

Does it matter? This is a perfect reason why I didn't go into detail, some smart *** always has a reply (*** is in the dictionary so I can say it right?).

Ok you win. In a war of being confrontational neither myself or Jim can compete. Jim tells you some of my mods and rather than accept it, you have a go at him...rather than having a go at me for being childish, look in the....oh forget it, you win.
