Common sense would tell you that he was probably making in the range of 460 to 470 rwhp pre SC just like most of the other 63s with similar mods...but then again there seems to be a lack of common sense being used in this thread. Some of you guys are so quick to attack and in doing so it makes you look ignorant because. Some of the stuff you are asking is about as easy to answer as what's 2 + 2?

No somebody start a new thread since Mavericks thread got hijacked. I'm done hijacking on his thread and the rest of you should follow suit.
So ecampbell has posted this info before including details that no one can find but doesn't want to repost or link to the older threads now nor does he now claim he's making 550rw as he did before. Ok...

Kind of smacks of the guy that claimed to have gone 10.8 nat asp in his clk bs but wouldn't post slips until someone beat him. Then when someone did, well I think we all know how that ended.

As for common sense, I see none in your posts though I do spot plenty of ignorance. I'm not sure why you're trying to call others out for wanting to clear up what appears to be misinformation. You are assuming how much power he's gaining per lb of boost, how? Boost is a measurement of restriction valid only to the engine it's being measured on, 1lb of boost on your car is not 1lb of boost on ecampbells. 1lb of boost on your car is going to equate to a greater mass of air moved through the engine than ecampbells.

There are many determining factors that go into equating additional power created by forced induction and they vary per engine and application. For instance you aren't taking into consideration the amount of power needed to spin the blower, parasitic loss. There are literally dozens of factors and as such no one at this point can generalize and make such a statement.

That formula is definitely not 2 +2.

Does Weistec give warranty on their SC? Nothing is stated on their site.

Looks to be 551 rwhp and 537 rwtq, Dynojet with SAE correction... is that correct?

Quite a healthy CLK63BS you have there... congratulations.

For whatever reason (probably my computer) it was very difficult to read the graph. I tried blowing up the image, but it would get too distorted.

I trust the graph reads as advertised. I can tell the AFR looks pretty safe (low 11's at redline), even for 91. \

It would be cool to see a boost measurement on the graph, but I know that isn't always available at every dyno shop.

I'm still surprised at the results. It's truly a testement to the motor. No offense to Weistec--their blower makes great power!! But, this twin screw design didn't re-write the history books, and there are some other fine twin screws on other powerful V8's. But, you just don't typically see this kind of power gain at this boost level, unless you're talking turbos.

This motor just must love boost. And when you add LT's, the air just flows.

That said, I hope you enjoy your ride in health.

Edit: So, I was reading up on the posts on another benz site and I noticed that the max hp is at 6000, and I'm guessing that's where max boost can be found as well, not sure if boost stays steady till redline on this build, as power drops off from 6000 to redline. But, if max psi touches 6 psi and you factor in LT's and full exhaust (which can lower psi, while increasing power; not saying they did lower psi as I don't know), the stage one pulley may be closer to 6.5-7psi?

I never called you out on your power output so don't ask were I am, I disagreed with your idea of not sharing your mods, and I asked who jrcart is rich or Jim.. So don't act like an ---hole. Others have called you out not me.. I'm always here!

Not always? Sometimes I see you at the track running your car and not you mouth.

Still here ecampbell, sorry I was in Tanzania for work.

Thank you for posting the graph.

After looking at it I see you hit a brick wall at 6800rpm, looks the same as the one jim and rich hit at 5750rpm during their 640rwhp pull and also seen towards the end of their 573rwhp pull.

So my questions for you are:

1) How does your car make 551rwhp SAE on 91 octane with 5.5psi, LTs, modified catback and carts makes 573rw on 110 with 10psi, LTs, modified catback, Ice Res in trunk?

It doesn't add up and it doesn't take a trained eye to see it.

2) You make peak power at 6000rpm, MB rates the M156s making peak HP at 6800rpm. Why are you losing power from 6k on? Adding a blower to a N/A engine will lengthen the powerband, not shorten it.

Thanks and safe travels!

To be honest I don't know why the spread between my car and Jim's is so small. I know Jim has put a lot of nitrous through his car and has lots of qtr mile runs. I am suggesting absolutely nothing but I don't know if a leakdown was done on his engine so there could be another variable at work here that we don't know about. Regarding the peak power I couldn't tell you. For the 2nd point I have no idea...I wasn't at the dyno session...it would be nice to see another black series dyno chart for a stock application so we can compare. Hopefully Maverick will be nice enough to post something.

Just to qualify this. The tune was designed for 98RON fuel and our Australian conditions. As a workshop responsible for implementing this Australia's first supercharged CLK we took a lot of time and RamSpeed worked with Wiestec to achieve this outcome. The car was tried and tested on Australia's best dyno and dyno room. Pictures below speak for themselves. Weistec and RamSpeed (thankfully) operate the same tuning platform and we have been able to exchange tune files quickly and efficiently. Steve was tremendous in the way he handles our specific requirements here in Australia and the entire supercharger installation went better then most of the more expensive kits from Europe we have implemented here in the past.

All made for stock look.

Congrats to jcart and ecamb for having the ballz to do this to their cars.
I read alot of confrontational posts disguised as simple questions.. or vice versa.
No reason for the hater-aide. We're all here to enjoy the hobby.

Time/miles/quarter mile passes/road racing sessions will tell the true tale of how these combo's hold up to the real world.
I'm very excited to lurk and see how it plays out.

props to jcart/ecamb again.

Can someone fill me in on what Jim ended up running at the track with the blower on the Black Series?

I really have searched for awhile and just gave up. Found a vid of him but they just call out track MPH.

Did he hit 10s at least?

Amazing what you guys are doing to these monsters!

Last I heard the stock tensioner pulley was being replaced because they
kept shredding belts.

As far as I know, no 10's. I think he ran an 11.3.
