Talking Look what showed up today!

For those that don't know, these are superlubricity's original MHP
headers that were bought by another member and finally ended
up in my hands.

Also recieved mid-pipes and all necessary clamps.

I jumped on these because I recently changed to an MHP tune and I
knew eventually it would make sense to have the matching headers.

I'm not in a rush and I may wait until the fall to install them when
the weather cools down again.

MHP LT Headers(ceramic coated)

MHP Collector(ceramic coated)

What Are the Benefits of Ceramic Exhaust Headers?

Installing ceramic-coated exhaust headers on your car or truck has many practical benefits as opposed to using other types of header coating materials, such as paint, powder coating and header tape.

Less Heat On Nearby Mechanical Components
Ceramic-coated headers produce less heat, because the ceramic acts as barrier between the headers and the engine. This in turn contributes to less stress on nearby mechanical components.
Performance Increase
Ceramic-coated headers can result in a slight performance increase because of their superior ability to dissipate heat, which is one of the major horsepower killers.
Rust Resistant
Ceramic coating helps headers last longer. A header with this type of coating will not rust or corrode, because the ceramic coating is rust resistant, making the header more durable.
Better Appearance
Headers that have been ceramic coated generally look better than painted headers or headers that have been wrapped with header tape. Ceramic-coated headers have clean, smooth appearance.
Easier to Clean
It's easier to keep ceramic-coated headers clean because of the smooth, hard nature of the coating.
Not really sure if I'll see the benefits of ceramic coating at the track
but I figured it can't hurt and the less heat in the engine bay the
better.

Not sure yet, probably going to sell. The MBH headers are very nice
and they seem to work well with the new MHP tune based on my most
recent outing at Atco.

You have the best headers in you hands now, Go install them as soon as you can, this way your car can adjust to the ECU, Plus you would be able to sell your old ones for better price in the summer
I belive your car will hit 10's this year, let me know next time you go to the track i wanna be there to witness another 10's c class

This set-up bolts to the stock resonator. Everything from the
resonator back is stock on my car.

Hopefully, you and I will run 10's this year. I think you will once you lighten your beast up a bit.

My goal is to run 10.9's with full interior.

I wasn't planning on buying the headers this soon but an opportunity
presented itself here and I jumped on them.

I guess that you have the last word. I have been following your post and even PM you in the past. If you ever decide to actually go all nuts and install the MHP headers with the MHP tune you will be the first person(I believe ) to document a back to back on a competitor's tune/headers vs MHP.

In other words, you should in theory improve the 11.4@123 wouldn't you?

He already has headers. Putting the MHP headers on now in the warm weather and not going to the track doesnt make sense. He most likely wont feel the difference on the street in the warm weather.

Good point though Mthis. Get them on early so the ECU can adapt before hitting the track. Maybe end of Aug or something...

My 2 cents..

Either way Mike, make sure you let me know when your attending in the fall so I can be there. Congrats on the new purchase.

Hes gonna stomp that 11.4 in Neg DA. No question. With the MHP headers or without.

I hope he does one fall track day without installing them so I can personally bump up that other thread with all the nay sayers. Because you know they will attribute any gains to the headers if he doesnt.

The MHP headers are going on, it's just a matter of when.

In cooler weather(- DA), the way my car sits right now, MHP tune/MBH headers I firmly
believe the car is 11.2 capable. With MHP headers, I won't know until the fall but we
know the combo is 10 second capable.

That was my original plan, run in the fall in cooler weather with the
MHP tune/MBH header set-up to see what a little -DA does and then
switch to full MHP.

That's probably a good plan because it'll give you a good data set to compare the two setups. Congrats on your new headers

I would love to get some runs in - DA with my current setup so I can put
to rest any doubts as to which tune is superior first and then move on
to the headers. 11.41 in 75F(+1170 DA) didn't prove enough to some on here.

I had them coated inside and out because of actual proven back to back track improvements....
