Dyno Results - MBH Headers & ACGSD Tune

So the results are in from my recent MBH header install. Much thanks to James at ACGSD for the great install and professional customer service.

I have to say I couldn't be more pleased with my choice of mods. The MBH headers are truly a work of art, and one cannot truly appreciate this until they see them in person. With the resonated catless midpipes, the sound is perfect. Very mellow and subdued during cruising and partial throttle, but MADNESS at WOT. Also, the ACGSD Stage 2 tune that James flashed me with (written specifically for this header setup) feels great. And that's coming from a guy who's had several different vendor tunes.

Attached are my before & after dyno results, the first graph showing the power curves, the next showing AFR.

"Baseline" = bone stock (charcoals and stock paper filters intact)
363whp/343wtq

"Tune + MBH Headers" = charcoals removed, AFE Pro Dry filters, MBH headers, MBH resonated catless midpipes, ACGSD Stage 2 tune, 91 octane Chevron fuel
470whp/416wtq

Needless to say I couldn't be more pleased with these power results, especially given the safety of the almost stocklike AFR curve. Now I just need to get to the track to back up these dyno figures.

For anyone considering going the header route, I highly recommend this combo.

Initially I had planned to go with an upgraded Kleemann Stage 2 tune that supposedly would have worked fine with this setup. However, in the end, James offered me their own tune written specifically for this header setup, with a 10-day money back guarantee. I decided to try it out, and so far I have no intention of seeking a refund.

gaining 107whp over stock makes me laugh. Its crazy how much power the C63 picks up. BTW, James at ACG is an awesome guy. They go great work.

Really impressive numbers!!!

I'm eager to see how this equates to the racetrack.

I think you made the right move with a header matched tune.

Thanks!

Now if I could just find a decent track here in SoCal to give the car a fair chance. Best shot is probably at Famoso in the fall when the weather cools off.

I think Famoso is your best bet.

You could always move to the east coast.

So did he dyno tune it, or he just loaded a map he had on hand for that setup you have?

I can just see that conversation now..."Honey, my car doesn't perform optimally out here, so we need to move to the East Coast where there is better track prep and DA."

No custom dyno tuning, just a map load that had already been developed for this specific setup.

I'm a little confused. You said you have several tunes before you put in the ACGSD stage 2 tune. Does the "baseline" dyno contains any tunes or did you flash back to stock first? Congratz on the crazy HP number!

Baseline dyno does not reflect any tune and is simply stock flash.

Our package 2 which includes the above headers and matched ECU with BMC filters is $6000.00 (price does not include installation or sales tax)

Yep, him and I were talking about that. We already did a graph overlay of his results vs mine and although we make almost identical peak power, he's got me by a bit in the midrange. I still expect him to pull on me, but should be a lot closer than before.

Hopefully some Vbox results coming soon.

I like what I see. It is also great to read the parts and installation breakdown of everything displayed publicly and not "PM me for pricing".
Good job on the tune James!
